I agree with the previous reviewers. Its a little slice of Heaven. Batu and all of the staff at Maslina are extremely professional and welcoming. ||They did run out of some food items which I thought was stange and a bit disapointing however it was the start of the season. Breakfast and lunch were both really good. The salad is more than just a salad. The property is beautiful, tranquil, peaceful, very thai inspired. Room was nice. I would have preferred to be up closer to the front. We were not upgraded as an Amex Fine Hotels guest.|The lavendar spritz drink is delicious. Poolside and oceanside areas- beautiful.|Beautiful walk into town (20 mins). Town is adorable. |Easy 35 mins from Hvar town/ferry. Would definitely return.

If you want to feel like you're on the set of White Lotus ( any season) book this now! The asthetics, the Spa, the rooms, the service, food, gym, the pools and staff are so amazing! |Highly recommend getting yourselves to Hvar...they got it right in every way♥️|P S. The tea station in the Spa and the comp. First round of the mini bar were great added touches

Séjour enchanteur au Maslina – Un havre de bien-être Je suis resté au Maslina les 4 et 5 mai, et l’expérience fut tout simplement parfaite dès notre arrivée vers 10h et l’équipe nous a immédiatement permis de profiter de toutes les installations de l’hôtel – une attention qui a marqué le ton de notre séjour ! Les repas ont été un régal à chaque fois : petit-déjeuner, déjeuner et dîner étaient excellents, servis dans un superbe cadre raffiné. Le spa a été l’un des points forts : des soins de qualité dans une ambiance apaisante, avec un personnel toujours aux petits soins. Chaque moment passé au Maslina était imprégné d’une attention discrète mais constante pour notre bien-être, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus précieux. On s’y sent comme chez soi. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour cette expérience mémorable – nous repartons déjà avec l’envie d’y retourner !

My husband and I came for our honeymoon and we were blown away by the service, the people, the amenities and the food. ||Batu, the guest relations manager and his team, gave us a warm welcome and were extremely attentive everyday during our stay. ||From the interior design, the curation of the restaurant experience by Mario, the attention to detail from the staff, the beautiful island landscape and the incredible Spa amenities and services, everything felt very curated to a luxurious and mindful stay. ||We were able to relax and indulge in an effortless vacation thanks to Mario,Batu, Ignacio, Manu, Dorian, Alessandro, Kamal, and the entire team who made our 5days in Maslina one to remember. We will defiantly be back! Thank you very much!

This is without a doubt one of the best hotels/ resorts we have ever visited. We decided to book this resort based on a recommendation from a lovely chap we met at Cap Maison in St Lucia (one of our all time favourite resorts) This was our first time in Croatia and we struck gold. Maslina is nestled in a beautiful cove just outside Starigrad. The property is stunning. Amazing views, beautiful rooms and the most comfortable pool loungers I have ever laid on. The pool area is beautiful looking over a spectacular coastline. They even have beds nestled into the waterfront. The staff are outstanding and extremely knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant serves outstanding local food and the cocktails are to die for as is the local wine. The rooms are extremely comfortable with views to die for and I recommend a room with a pool in the warmer months. The resort is situated outside the beautiful town of starigrad with its local food (recommend the blue doors restaurant) and a 20 min drive to Hvar ( which can be arranged by the hotel) . We treated ourselves to the speed boat transfer on one of the hotels speedboats which was fantastic and they also organised all of our trips (again with all attention to detail). The spa is the ultimate in relaxation and the treatments are extremely relaxing (recommend the intuitive massage). The whole resort has been designed with the customers wellbeing as priority. We absolutely loved the week we spent and will be back again in 26. A huge thank you to all the amazing staff who made our trip memorable.

We’ve been disappointed with our stay at Maslina. We booked a Garden room for $600+ a night and do not feel that it’s worth the $. This was not a 5 star experience. Resort - There are not enough beach chairs for all of the guests… given this is a beach resort, this is unacceptable. The result of this is many guests “mark” their territory before 8am, leading to many unused chairs throughout the day. - The beach service is poor - no one checks on you, takes your order etc, like they claim. Some of the beach chairs are quite weathered, it looks like they’ve been left out in the rain. Once you actually snag one, it’s equipped with these red blankets, which aren’t a typical towel. It takes a lot of time to flag someone down to get a real beach towel and there are none provided in the room. - The hotel is a weird mix of honeymoon-ish couples and European families. However, there is no adult pool / or kid free zone for the honeymooners / couples. For this kind of price, you’d expect some quieter areas or you’d expect them to change the marketing to better reflect this. If there is a quiet area, it’s not easy to find and was not communicated to us. - There are TONs of mosquitos and bees everywhere, particularly by the restaurant. The bees are so bad we had to interrupt our meal and run inside. I had 10 bug bites on my leg after sitting outside for 1 dinner. - The hotel is still under construction. You can see where they’re planning to build more villas and a sand beach they plan to develop (currently only a rock beach is available). Again, doesn’t feel like it’s worth ~1k a night given this. - The hotel significantly upcharges for everything - eg, they will arrange you a taxi to Hvar for 3x the price ($60 vs $20) - note: this is for them to order you a taxi… not to shuttle you in their own vehicle. - The service is very very slow. Eg, we sit at breakfast for 10 min each morning before being offered a menu. The staff are not very attentive. We wonder if our service is worse because we chose a garden room. - It’s very hard to obtain basic information like restaurant menus or fitness class schedules until you actually visit the restaurant or gym. They have an app that’s supposed to house this info but it doesn’t work. - They put everything on the guest. Eg, if you approach the front desk to book a spa, they tell you to call the spa. It’s a small effort on their side to just connect you to them directly and assist with your booking, but they put it on you. When you go the gym, they have no floor mats available - you have to ask the personal trainer when he happens to come in the room (he’s not always there), again putting a common need on the guest. These are smaller things but they still degrade from the experience. - While the food is generally tasty, the portions are very small. Room - Does not have a ceiling shower (??). Only a handheld with no place to rest it at head height, which is inconvenient and makes the room feel cheap. - Service is very slow. 6 hours after putting on our room cleaning sign, the room was still not cleaned. When it finally was cleaned, they only made the bed and changed the towels. They don’t arrange anything which I found kind of odd. Never seen this at another 5 star. - We found bugs in our bathroom. - It’s very loud in our room. We regularly hear conversations of others.
