We had the 7-course dinner and were very happy with all the creative and delicious courses. We spent more than 3 hours at the restaurant and the staff was always professional, hospitable and easy-going. We especially wanted to praise the non-alcoholic pairing they offer. We had all kinds of beverages from infusions to cold brew. Their Michelin star is well deserved.

We had a beautiful evening at Strelec! Hands down to the service: kind and friendly - it was raining and they tried to help us with the cab situation-. Food was delightful and the wine pairing matched our expectations. The location made the whole experience better - the city view it’s amazing!

Credit should be given where credit is due, so I take pen to paper after a great dinner at Strelec a few days ago. It is a Michelin star restaurant so one would expect the food to be pretty good. The brigade led by Igor Jagodic, the discrete yet very much present architect of this experience, certainly did not disappoint as the dishes were delicious, creative without pretension and impeccable. What I did not expect though, is how outstanding the local Slovenia wine pairings were to those tasty dishes. My first experience a few years ago with Slovenian wines had been lackluster, so I was not expecting much. I was in for a big surprise and a wild ride through the dinner, thanks to Jaka Ursic, the very knowledgeable Sommelier du jour (he was skillfully filling in for the resident sommelier who was on holiday at the time). His recommendations not only complimented very well the dishes they were paired with, they also provided a great outlook on what Slovenia has to offer and its very talented wine makers. A special mention to this great pairing: a venison tartare served with Shiso leaves and foie gras, paired with a Belo 140 from Suklje (80% Kerner, 20% Riesling). The Shiso leaves unique combination of citrus and umami blended beautifully the strong taste of the raw venison meat and the mineral yet floral acidity of this superb white wine! All in all very much worth visiting, the stunning view from the terrace over Ljubljana adding nicely to the experience!

Strelec is fantastisch! In Nederland krijg je dit niet voor je geld. Ben je in Lbubljana ga hier dan vooral naar toe. Het is het namelijk helemaal waard. Prachtige bereidingen van de gerechten en smaken zijn heerlijk. Bijpassende wijnen waren uitstekend gekozen en van het uitzicht kan je de hele avond genieten. Bediening is uiterst vriendelijk en gastvrij. Zeker de goede beoordeling/ ster waard.

Fantastic! The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was awesome. Outdoor seating is in a castle wall, inside is renovated beautifully. The food was delicious, inventive and very thoughtful. Each dish has depth of flavor and ingredients. 100% will eat here when I return. We only had the five course meal since we had a light snack in the late afternoon, but regret not at least having the 7, though it was a generous amount of food. Oh, yeah and the service was great, everyone was attentive, friendly and fun to interact with

This dinner experience was consistently flat. The food was good, but not extraordinary. I felt like I was being upsold at times. And the service was quite rigid and soulless—I really felt like some staff members were not present or happy being there. And unfortunately, that usually speaks to what one doesn’t see behind the kitchen doors.

A decent restaurant but: - too small portions. - shocking € 5 fee on top of € 80 menu (cheapest you can get, they try to upsell) Wine by the glass was delicious. Quantity per glass was very small. In 5 course menu 3 dishes were small but delicious. Main was small and OK but not great. Dessert was boring sweet hazelnut stuff. We are not planning to return.

Ottima esperienza. Sono rimasta sorpresa dalla capacità di richiamare in ogni piatto una nota acida creando una forte continuità nonostante la varietà degli elementi. Ho optato per il menú degustazione da 5 portate con abbinamento di vini locali - di cui però non tutti mi sono piaciuti particolarmente: Ho avuto la sensazione che il vino dolce servito insieme al dessert fosse sproporzionato alla struttura del dolce stesso ,al palato l’abbinamento è risultato troppo dolciastro. Ottimo il servizio e la qualità dei piatti. Colori tenui e caldi.

One of the best so far! Over the past years we've been to a number of Michelin star restaurants. The experience at the Strelec certainly was one of the best we had so far. The food was exceptionally good, the preparation of it, the look and the taste. We had the 9 course menu and every course was superb. The courses were composed in a way that made it easy to taste all the ingredients individually and combined. We didn't go for the wine pairing but the sommeliers did a great job in selecting wines which went perfectly with the dishes. The staff was very friendly and funny, we very much enjoyed being their guests. The setting overall is very relaxed, different to other star restaurants. It's a bit noisy when the restaurant is full but that's due to the old building and it was ok for us. It was a bit of untidy at one of the walls in the restaurant (various things just were kept there without hiding them) but it didn't really bother us (the restaurant is very clean though!). We're very much looking forward to another dinner in the future. Thanks to the entire team.

If In Ljubljana, absolutely go here and must try the full tasting menu and it doesn’t matter what’s in it. What a location, what a restaurant, what a meal. Every dish was spectacular and I would absolutely travel to Slovenia just to eat here. Amazing amazing amazing.
