This review is rather about warning you to be careful if you want to park on the road what leads up to the castle! The castle was nice, but unfortunately the parking under the castle (on the way up to the castle) is not safe!!!!! Today we were up there around 15 minutes, while somebody broke into our car and robbed us. ( Broke in the side -window.)So we had to go back to Hungary without a window on the left side….

An iconic castle in Ljubljana, overlooking the city. There are great views at the top of the castle tower, but other than that, not that interesting nor as pretty as other castles in Europe. The layout is slightly messy with stairs running up and down to different parts of the castle. Exhibits showed the usual history of the palace and there was a short film that explained everything quite well. If you like history and want to catch views of the city from the top, it's worth it since it isn't super expensive. But if you're tight on time, it's more worth it to explore Ljubljana's old town on foot (the area near the Triple Bridge is beautiful) or do some souvenir shopping.

The castle is super nicely renovated and it’s definitely worth a visit when you’re in Ljubljana! Many historical exhibitions and various hidden spots to discover!

Beetje een gemengd gevoel over dit kasteel. Er zijn prachtige exposities in het museum. Maar heel authentiek komt het kasteel niet meer over. Het marionet museum is eerder eng dan interessant. Het uitzicht op de stad en de omgeving is prachtig. Je hoeft niet naar boven te lopen maar kan cablecar naar boven nemen. Al met al wel de moeite waard.

Fantastisch! Jeden z najpiękniejszych zamków jakie było mi dane zobaczyć. Bardzo sumiennie ale i nowocześnie odrestaurowany, wiele elementów wygląda dość futurystycznie, a jednocześnie wydaje się jakby właśnie tak miały wyglądać. Tutaj czuć, że zamek to nie tylko rok budowy, ale też dziesiątki pokoleń, które go tworzyły. Są tutaj oczywiście galerie, restauracje, wystawy, można wziąć ślub i podziwiać całą stolicę z wieży widokowej. Cudo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
