The only Beergarten in Ljubljana is nice, modern and well designed and also quite popular, so mostly genuinely lively. One tends to expect cheaper beer prices in brewery's local beergarten, but unfortunately not here. Food was ok albeit nothing to write home about. If it is busy be prepared to wait at the bar and reserve a table. So all in all, ok, but also somewhat "meh" considering the potential. You can get the same beer, more beer and better beer with equally busy and lively scene in many bars in Ljubljana center. I am mostly sad, that a capital which was born and raised in rich german beer culture has not to offer also proper, genuine, historical beer garten experience which you can find in Astria and Bavaria, and which is also part of Slovenia, but cant be felt in the too modern Pivnica Union
