This charming little breakfast spot is tucked away in the heart of Zagreb, making it a true hidden gem for morning meals 🥐☕. We visited mid-week during the off-season and were seated right away, but judging by the reviews, it can get quite busy, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to visit during peak times. Even though the restaurant wasn’t full, we did have to wait a bit for our food, but it was worth it. The Eggs Benedict we ordered were really delicious - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented 🍳. The interior is tastefully decorated with a personalized touch, giving the space a warm and inviting feel. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, though the overall space is quite limited, adding to its cozy vibe. The service was good, and I left very satisfied with the whole experience. The prices are matching the quantity and quality of the food as well as the central location. If you’re looking for a lovely breakfast spot in Zagreb, I definitely recommend checking this place out. Just be sure to arrive early or consider making a reservation, especially if you’re visiting during busier periods! 😊

Das Egg Benedict war schon ziemlich mächtig und hält fast den ganzen Tag satt. Das Restaurant ist recht klein und weit abseits des Stadtkerns. Obwohl die umliegende Gegend keine Augenweide ist, ist das Restaurant ordentlich und schön eingerichtet. Da hier viele Kroaten essen waren, war es trotzdem gut besucht.

Came to this place seeing the great reviews that are seen here. Placed our order and then kept on waiting for the food to arrive.. It was almost after 50 minutes and repeated reminders and assurances of "5-10 minutes more" every 5-10 minutes, a person holding two ugly plates approaches us with a horrible attitude and asks if we know how food is made! Guess he was new to making food and thinks everyone was born yesterday. NO sense of apology for making their customers wait for 1 hr, for a plate of EGG BENEDICT AND Omelette! They infact were boasting that ppl are waiting for their order for hours! That really shows the worth of someone's time that these ppl have. A place with pathetic inexperienced staff and a novice chef with no sense of how a restaurant is run! Save your time and money and try other restaurants in Zagreb that actually values your time.

If there was a minus rating would have definitely rated them, please do visit them for breakfast if you have a spare hour to waste post placing order, the waiters seemed disinterested initially in taking orders & some 55 odd minutes & asking servals times on the food the very charming chef showed up with food fuming with anger & questioning us do we work in hospitality industry & asking don’t even know how much time an eggs Benedict takes to prepare Lolll….. totally racist on their part to ask such questions when people who came & placed order after us got their food to top that when he was very politely answered that it wouldn’t take 55 minutes to prepare he refused to serve the food & stacked 1 plate over the other phewwww thank God since the omlette looked horrible & I rather not eat than get served by an angry bird who seemed like on the verge of getting an heart attack. Happily walked away & got served great food at frank & otto.

This is a cute little quiet place. However, details prevent this place from being a great spot for breakfast/brunch. The cute litle space is cramped with a large number of tables and chairs. The chairs have seen better and cleaner days. The toilet would require a thorough cleaning of the tiles and else. We understand that the place is popular among visitors and that there's only one waiter working, but that can't be an excuse for waiting almost an hour for a poached egg, avocado, and cold toast. The prosecco resembled a gemišt too much, etc. This is not a place we'll return to for a good breakfast, nor one we would recommend to others. Zagreb has so many places where we’d rather spend our 20 euros per person for breakfast.

We went to Eggspresso for brunch. The place is a bit tricky to find, so make sure to follow your map directly to the entrance. Upon arrival, a waiter greeted us and showed us to our table. On the tables, you'll find white paper and crayons to keep you entertained while you wait for your food. For drinks, we ordered freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade lemonade. On such a hot day, it was an absolute delight. The menu is excellent, and they're very flexible with orders. I asked for tomatoes and avocado with my omelet, and it was no problem at all. The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. It was a really lovely experience. The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and it was quite healthy.

📍 Zagreb – EGSSPRESS Danas sam htio snimiti video i podržati jedan zanimljiv kafić koji ima dobar koncept – jaja u svim varijantama. EGSSPRESS izgleda moderno i poziva na prvi zalogaj. No, nažalost, moja priča tamo je stala prije nego što je počela. Iako sam došao s namjerom da promoviram lokal i podijelim priču sa svima vama – dugo čekanje i činjenica da je gost koji je došao kasnije poslužen prije mene učinili su svoje. Ustao sam, zahvalio, i otišao. 🙌 Ova objava nije napad – nego poziv. Poziv svima u ugostiteljstvu da ne zaborave ono najvažnije: poštovanje prema svakom gostu. Jer nikad ne znaš tko sjedi za stolom. Možda je to baš netko tko ti želi donijeti – ne samo račun, nego i vrijednu promociju. 💡 Svaki gost je prilika. Edito esta reseña para indicar que aunque el establecimiento asegure que esto no ha ocurrido puedo confirmar que si ocurrió y fue esta mañana, o sea que tienen poca memoria. Para más información fue el camarero joven quien nos indicó que si no consumíamos comida teníamos que abandonar el lugar. Según ellos no es una cafetería en la que solo consumir un café..entonces que es?
