Discover a unique vineyard experience nestled in the picturesque Zlopolje valley on the island of Vis, Croatia. Fields of Grace Vineyards combines the rich history and passion of its owners, Jakša (Jack) Kivela and Fung Lin Leung, with the beauty of Mediterranean gardens and fine wines.
About Us
Our estate boasts extensive gardens, a wine tasting pavilion, a wine cellar, private accommodation, and vegetable gardens. Born on the island of Vis, Jakša brings a wealth of culinary expertise from his background as a classically trained chef and educator. Fung Lin, a corporate lawyer, lends her vision and creativity to the vineyard, enhancing the overall experience.
The Vineyard
We cultivate unique grape varietals including Vugava, Plavac, Cabernet Sauvignon, Graševina, and Merlot, ensuring a distinctly different flavor profile compared to other wines on the island. Our meticulous vinification process guarantees clean, crisp wines with balanced acidity and light alcoholic content.
Our Wines
We offer delicious wines such as Grace Red, Vugava, Grace Rosé, and Welschriesling. Each wine reflects the terroir of our estate, crafted with attention to detail for a captivating tasting experience. Prices for our wines start at 8 euros for a 750ml bottle, with special vintages offered at limited availability.
Wine Tasting Pavilion - The Dai Pai Dong
Our wine tasting pavilion features an exquisite set menu crafted from authentic dishes across South-East Asian cuisines. The tasting experience is carefully curated, combining three varietals with a four-course meal for just 78 euros. Due to our intimate setting, reservations are required, with a maximum of 15 guests.

This place is really special. Unique and delicious food, I've never tasted anything remotely similar anywhere. The location is beautiful. What really makes it a truly special experience here is the chef and host are husband and wife working together. The love for what the do together really comes out in the food and the atmosphere.

The atmosphere was warm and lively, with about 20 guests sharing the space. It struck a great balance between intimate and social. We ended up chatting with a mix of locals and tourists, which added a lot to the experience. I don’t drink, but my wife was very happy with the host’s selection of three wines from his own vineyard, each poured with a bit of backstory. The multi-course dinner was creative and well-executed, blending Dalmatian and Asian influences in a way that felt both thoughtful and satisfying. We started with a delicate tofu skin roll, followed by a spicy corn soup with shrimp and cod, then curry chicken thighs, and ended on a bright note with an orange cake for dessert. Every dish had its own character (and back story) and was clearly made with love and care. The hosts were very friendly and attentive and told us a bit about everything that we were eating and drinking and were more than happy to answer any of our questions. Their evident enthusiasm and openness really elevated the experience. Do keep in mind that it can get cool in the evening, so a light sweater is a smart call. Overall, this is a place that brings together great food, interesting people, and a beautiful setting. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing and mind blowing to find World Class cuisine on this little island in the middle of the Adriatic! I have dined at some of the most highly rated restaurants in LosAngeles, NewYork, Paris, London, Stockholm, Copenhagen—Fields of Grace is amongst them. It deserves its Gault&Millau three Toques and then some. The food is fresh, delicious, innovative farm-to-table and ranks as a Top Experience for any sophisticated traveler. A Do Not Miss and worth a trip to Vis. 5 stars

Hvala Jakši i Lin na odličnoj večeri uz njihova ukusna i dobro balansirana vina, te rijetko tako dobro viđene azijske specijalitete… vraćamo se prve prilike! P.S. Butelje prodaju po jako fair cijeni, a više je znanja i ljubavi u njima, nego u mnogo kojem lokalnom vinu!

Fields of Grace definitely does it’s name justice. From the get go you are welcomed by the lavender and rosemary scents from the garden on your way to the restaurant. You are welcomed by Lin and Jaksa, the hosts. The wine tasting dinner was an amazing experience, with different food from the Asian cuisine, paired with locally produced wine by Lin and Jaksa. An interesting combination, that works out great! Lin and Jaksa are interesting, welcoming people that will make time to chat to everyone whilist hosting. Make sure not to miss out during your visit to Vis!

Great food and wine, wonderful service. The hosts are brilliant and really put thought and care into their food and the presentation. The ambiance is calm, the restaurant is on their land, surrounded by nature and it's very relaxing and private. Had a fantastic time at Fields of Grace! Very cute and nice location with a very beautiful vineyard and garden. It was nice having some Asian food on this trip and Jack did very well with the tofu skin wraps, the shrimp sweet and chili coconut cream, and a tom yum chicken curry. The wine pairings went very well and especially loved the welschriesling. Defo recommend to visit the vineyard and having dinner here, Lin and Jack are a great duo and had nice hospitality.

It's been a long time since the last time I have tasted such richness in food, both in taste and in feeling. Jaksa's cooking was beyond satisfying, it brought me memories.. Wholesome dishes made with such care, skill and artistry put together. Along with Lin, who is taking care of the guests just as she is caring for her roses and herbal gardens, made for a magical and heartfelt experience. I would definitely recommend to not miss this gastronomic experience once visiting Vis, as it's definitely one of the islands' hidden gems to discover !!!

Nestled in a small agricultural valley on the beautiful island of Vis, the dining area is surrounded by grape vines, fruit trees, and aromatic plants. Lin is a charming and informative hostess, and her husband Jakša’s skill in the kitchen is a treasure not to be missed. His food is always subtle and exquisite, prepared with great knowledge and passion. The couple’s wines are equally superb, and if you’re interested, Jakša will expound on their history and making. It’s a rare treat to be able to enjoy such a rich gastronomic experience in such lush surroundings. If you’re extra lucky, you might be able to rent the small vacation cottage on their property. Fields of Grace is an experience for connoisseurs and anyone who truly appreciates the art of living.

This is a hidden gem on the island of Vis and a truly unforgettable culinary and wine experience! From the moment we arrived to the property which is nestled among their vineyard and herb garden on the east side of the island of Vis, we immediately felt at home. Dining place with its small size creates a warmly personal atmosphere! Chef Jakša cooked us a beautifully curated 5 course tasting menu inspired by Southeast Asian cuisines all made from fresh produce grown on-site. We had their handcrafted wines, the Rose is for sure my favourite. But what truly brings this restaurant to a higher level is life stories of Jakša and Lin. Each course is combined with their life experience and flavors to the couses are even better with this. Reservations are necessary. Experience at its best!

Absolutely a no-go, the food is mediocre and all of this because of the owner. He is bossy and ill-tempered to everyone, even to his wife. He is full of himself. The main course was absolutely inedible, completely sour. I love the concept but the owner totally destroyed it. His arrogant tone is all over the place. He 'lived' in Thailand for 9 months.....what a joke. Avoid this place at all cost.

Reception when you come in was ok. The man acted arrogant. The explanation of the food and the wine by his wife was good and friendly. Food was normal: nothing special. When there was a comment from our side the man couldn’t take it and went offensive and insulting towards us. We will never go back and for sure not recommend this place.

This restaurant offers a truly special experience, much like eating at an old friends house in the most beautiful setting in the middle of a vinyard. While the food was very okay, perhaps a bit bland for my taste in asian food, everything else made me love the place. I would definitly recommend, but dont expect to be thrown away by typical asian tastea like soy, chili, ginger etc.

Vis legend has it that the Fields of Grace winery does not need any advertisement as all of its guests come back. Probably the best restaurant in Dalmatia and wider. And a rather unusual one. It is a restaurant as it is supposed to be, with attention to every detail, delicious Asian food, and great local wine – all prepared with passion, personally by the owners, and according to the highest criteria for the respective industries. It is also an example how to live in deep respect and harmony with the nature. The capacity of the restaurant is limited to some 20 seats, so please do not go there without reservations. The winery is also the home of Lin and Jaksa and their cats. Do not worry, the cats would not disturb you. One last suggestion – feel free to leave your perfume at home to be able to really enjoy the richness of the aroma of the surrounding fields, dishes and wine.
