About International Test Site-Z1 (ITS-Z1)

ITS-Z1 is an independent art space and laboratory designed for creative exchange between artists and scientists from across the globe. Founded by Serbian-Australian-American artist Dragan Ilic, the facility is based in both New York and Belgrade, with the aim of fostering new ideas and promoting cultural interaction on an international scale.

Concept and Vision

The project serves as a unique platform for the Belgrade community, allowing audiences to engage with an eclectic mix of artists, scientists, theorists, and media experts at the forefront of innovation. Launched in May 2007 with its inaugural event titled “Art, Body and Technology,” ITS-Z1 continues to host a variety of performances, presentations, and discussions to stimulate intellectual discourse and creativity.
