Это прекрасный музей, но, к сожалению, в настоящее время большая часть экспозиции закрыта на реновацию. Зайдя через центральные ворота, я была удивлена, что билеты продаются прямо во дворе музея (раньше продавались внутри в кассе). Еще больше я удивилась, когда осмотрела экспозицию музея в здании (небольшая и не самая интересная выставка предметов из гробниц примерно 4000-3000 до н.э.). Это не первый мой визит в данный музей и я представляю, что там можно посмотреть. Когда я обратились с вопросом к служащему почему на входе нет информации, что часть коллекции закрыта на реновацию, получила ответ, что вся информация на сайте музея. Однако, проверив сайт, этой информации не нашла или она как то сложно спрятана. То есть по сути, работники вводят посетителей в заблуждение, чтобы не потерять деньги (вход 8 евро). Такое отношение к туристам можно ожидать где нибудь на базаре, но в культурном учереждении... Оставшаяся экспозиция представленная во дворе музея, конечно, очень интересна и заслуживает внимания, но совесть тоже надо иметь. Очень неприятные впечатления.

Quite a bad museum to be honest. Their collection is impressive as the nearby roman site is of some significance. Yet, nothing is contextualized and very little is explained. The building housed a small exhibition which when we were there was the best part. Otherwise it's just scattered objects and parked electrical scooters.

Это музей с которого взята книжка про сепулькарий, если кто-то ещё такую помнит с советских времён. Очень интересный музей для понимания местной истории и Истории вообще как таковой.

Nemojte otići iz Splita a da ne posjetite ovaj prekrasan muzej. Na samo 15 do 20 minuta od samog centra grada. Preporučam jutarnju šetnjicu jer je gotovo cjeli put u hladu.

Interesting place, but some of the exhibitions lack some kind of direction and explanation. Especially the one about the tombstones, an explanation about its content (if they only talk about the person or how they died, why there are no dates, etc.), or the shortcuts like HMHNS or DM. The Medusa exhibition corrected this mistake, but it seemed like it lacked funding. The exhibitions would be nice if they had more depictions, simply showing broken pieces of amphorae and vessels seems lazy. But I believe this is due to the lack of funding. I wish that such important subject that Archeology is ok gets better funding and people have more space to execute finer ideas in the discipline of museum showcasing.

Vet inte om vi måste ha missat något? En tillfällig utställning med information på engelska inomhus - är det allt? Utomhus utställningen av romerska lämningar som är mer intressant men dock ingen information på engelska.

Well... When you are used to Italian museums this one has not much to offer. It's just a small garden and 4 rooms on the ground floor. Maybe for the real hardcore fans of Croatian B.C. burial grounds... But always nice to give a small contribution (€8) to the local culture.

Jeśli ktoś interesuje się archeologią, a szczególnie okresem Cesarstwa Rzymskiego, to znajdzie tu wiele, przede wszystkim wykutych i wyrzeźbionych w kamieniu eksponatów. Jest też trochę ceramiki, biżuterii ze srebra i brązu oraz szkła, a nawet bursztynu. Bardzo miło spędzony czas.

Ókori római szarkofágok sokasága és a temetkezèsi szokásokhoz kapcsolódó egyéb tárgyak gyűjteménye, amelyek Split közelében találtak a régészek. A kora keresztèny szimbólumok is megjelentek 1-1 késői szarkofágon. Ha valakit ez a téma érdekel, szíves figyelmébe ajánlom ezt az állandó kiállít!st.

The Museum layout was kinda random, everything being scattered around, with no logical order. Also the inside was not accessable at the time we went. 14€ for a family ticket just to see some old stones without direct english signs and labels to know what you are watching was not It for me.

Split is very beautiful, but unfortunately, the museum layout is not at its best. I think the history of the area deserves a much better exhibition. At the moment I wouldn't recommend it, especially with a ticket of 8 euros, but I am looking forward to a better experience.
