I usually write reviews only after using a service at least three times. Yesterday was my third time. I rented an Audi A3 — the car was excellent. However, at the end of the rental, they found a small scratch on the wheel rim and deducted €150 from my deposit. That was a very unpleasant experience. First, there’s no certainty that the scratch wasn’t there beforehand. They didn’t show me proper “before” photos clearly proving it wasn’t present. My own photos were of poor quality, but the scratch seems to be visible in them. Second, €150 is a lot for such a minor scratch — especially since the rim wasn’t new and already had visible damage. A full repair would have covered all the existing scratches anyway. It feels like they could easily collect €150 from several customers for the same rim and then do a single €50 repair later. It just seems dishonest. Especially considering the rental price included “full super comprehensive insurance” — it’s unclear what’s “full” or “super” about it if even such small scratches come with high charges. I really liked this company before, but unfortunately I won’t be returning. UPDATE AFTER THE COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW: Regarding the fuel — two(!) of your employees inspected the car upon return and confirmed everything was okay. Are your two(!) employees not capable of accurately checking the fuel level? That’s just unprofessional. When I returned the car, I was tired after a long trip. Two staff members insisted the damage was caused by me, and no photos showing the condition before the rental (without the damage) were provided. You had my deposit — I had no choice but to pay. The €150 charge was made up on the spot, simply because you estimated that amount in the dark. Later, when I got home, I checked my own pre-rental photos and found no such damage. I sent them to you, but your response was rude — you told me I had already acknowledged the damage on-site, and that was the end of the conversation. I understand that damage happens — that’s not the issue. The issue is your lack of customer focus. You’ve lost me as a customer. I’ll do my best to share this experience on local social media to warn others how you handle such situations.
