De appartementen zijn aan een verbouwing toe, deze zijn oud en versleten. De hotel kamers zijn een stukje netter maar ook zeker niet de nieuwste. Het personeel is hartstikke vriendelijk, wij hadden via een boeking site per ongeluk een appartement geboekt maar konden dit zonder problemen omruilen naar een hotel kamer.

Abbiamo scelto la formula mezza pensione e ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti: il buffet è ricco, vario e di buona qualità. Unica nota negativa riguarda le bevande: non vengono fornite caraffe d’acqua e si percepisce una certa insistenza nel proporre bibite a pagamento, probabilmente per scoraggiare gli ospiti dall’alzarsi spesso per servirsi. Per quanto riguarda i servizi, la struttura è particolarmente adatta alle famiglie, con ottime dotazioni come la palestra ben attrezzata e una sala giochi per bambini molto curata. Per gli amanti dello sport ci sono però alcuni aspetti da migliorare: i campi da beach volley necessitano manutenzione; c’è un solo tavolo da ping pong, spesso occupato: aumentarne il numero sarebbe auspicabile. Nel complesso, l’esperienza è stata positiva, ma con qualche intervento mirato si potrebbe alzare ulteriormente il livello dell’offerta.

Fazit: Preis-Leistung passt überhaupt nicht. Das Hotel mag als 4-Sterne geführt sein, bietet aber maximal 3 – stellenweise eher 2,5 Sterne. Lieber ein gutes Apartment buchen oder direkt nach Griechenland fliegen. Positiv: ✅ Sehr freundliches Rezeptionspersonal ✅ Fitnessraum hervorragend ausgestattet ✅ WLAN okay, Klimaanlage funktioniert gut ✅ Umgebung sicher und ruhig, gute Restaurants in der Nähe Negativ: ❌ Zimmer veraltet, klein, kein Balkon (im Gegensatz zu anderen Zimmern) ❌ Bad wie eine Zeitkapsel – schlechter Wasserdruck, Temperatur springt, Föhn kaum nutzbar ❌ Frühstück standardisiert und überfüllt, lange Schlangen an der Kaffeemaschine ❌ Preis-Leistung total überzogen – für denselben Preis bekommt man in Portugal oder Griechenland echten 5-Sterne-Komfort Würde ich wiederkommen? Nein – nächstes Mal lieber Apartment oder eine andere Destination mit echtem 4-Sterne-Niveau.

Tolles Hotel in wunderschöner Lage. Es bietet alles, was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt mit Kindern und Eltern braucht. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

Ich habe das Hotel Diamant Valamar in Poreč telefonisch kontaktiert und gefragt, wie viel der Eintritt für Sauna und Pool kostet. Man sagte mir, es koste 10 € pro Person. Als ich jedoch ankam, sagte mir ein älterer, sehr unfreundlicher Herr an der Wellness-Rezeption, dass sein Kollege mir eine falsche Information gegeben habe und dass der Preis tatsächlich 30 € pro Person sei. Er sagte noch,dass die Gäste noch dazu zahlen müssen. Also komische Leute und Hotel. Valamar ist eigentlich eine gute Hotelkette, aber leider gibt es dort einige sehr unfreundliche ältere Mitarbeiter. Bisher waren alle jüngeren Angestellten, mit denen ich zu tun hatte, freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Upon arrival, there was a minor issue with the accommodation we had originally booked. In the end, the shift manager, Mr. Ivan Gostić, kindly offered us a different type of accommodation, which exceeded our expectations. We are truly grateful to him for this approach. The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and in a great location. There are plenty of activities for children. Breakfast was truly excellent.

Das Service ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Zimmer war gemütlich, es war teilweise aber stickig bzw. stinkig. Der direkte Meerzugang ist toll. Für die Liegen muss man pro Tag aber extra zahlen. Die Auswahl beim Essen und auch der Aufbau von Buffet und Sitzplätzen finde ich nicht optimal. Als Vegetarier habe ich nicht besonders ansprechendes Essen gefunden und auch die Fleischgerichten haben für den Preis nicht so besonders ausgesehen. Beim Buffet gab es meistens großes Gedrängel und für meinen Geschmack waren die Stationen zu verstreut. Bis ich alles gesehen habe, habe ich schon wieder vergessen, was es an der ersten Station gab. Gefühlt sind es auch zu wenige Tische im Essensaal und es ist sehr laut. Etwas mehr Schalldämpfung wäre hier nicht schlecht.

Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, aber sehr gepflegt – alles ist blitzsauber, funktioniert einwandfrei und das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und fleißig. Das Essen war ein absoluter Traum, abwechslungsreich und geschmacklich auf hohem Niveau. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat für mich vollkommen gepasst. Ein kleiner persönlicher Wermutstropfen: Im Pool waren Frauen in Burkinis baden. Ich respektiere kulturelle Unterschiede, aber ich persönlich empfinde diese Badebekleidung als unhygienisch, befremdlich und in einem Hotel-Schwimmbad eher unpassend. Das hat mein eigenes Wohlbefinden beim Schwimmen leider etwas beeinträchtigt.

I visited the fitness area in this hotel because all other places to work out on Sundays were closed. A great alternative to a big fitness club. Yes, fewer machines and less space, but there’s a big plus — air conditioning! And the gym is open on Sundays! All things considered, the price and parking make it an excellent choice. And as a bonus — the beach is within walking distance! Wishing everyone enjoyable workouts with no injuries!

Ljetovao sam u ovom hotelu u Poreču i iskustvo je bilo izvanredno! Lokacija hotela je savršena – u blizini mora, s prelijepim pogledom i okruženjem koje pruža pravi osjećaj mira i odmora. Sobe su čiste, moderno uređene i udobne, a osoblje je izuzetno ljubazno i uvijek na raspolaganju. Hrana je raznovrsna i ukusna, s velikim izborom domaćih i internacionalnih jela. Posebno mi se svidjela uređenost plaže i sadržaji poput bazena i aktivnosti za goste. Svaki detalj pokazuje da hotel vodi računa o udobnosti i zadovoljstvu gostiju. Topla preporuka svima koji žele kvalitetan odmor na Jadranu – sigurno se vraćam opet!

Let’s be really clear - this is not the place to come as a solo traveller under 35, don’t make my mistake. This is a mass-service tourism machine designed for German families with kids. There are a lot of random rules to make the life of the hotel staff easier and not a whole lot of flexibility for someone who is not doing precisely what they expect you to do. For example, you pay to access the spa (not included in the hotel room, by the way, though not clear when I booked through easyJet Holidays) for 3 hours but you cannot leave the spa and come back in. Why not? Just because - because rules and no one does that, which you find out when you try it. If you’re making coffee at the coffee machine, you can’t leave your cup under the dispenser while it’s dispensing and go get your eggs in the meantime to be more efficient, because that’s not what anyone else is doing. It’s all predicated on everyone doing exactly the same thing in exactly the same way, and any deviation even if harmless will trigger somebody coming over to you to bother you. It was quite infantilising and irritating after a while. But perhaps it’s understandable as it’s full of children. Also, watch what you’re paying for - because it looks like your costs are covered but actually spa isn’t included, the beach and any parasols is a separate company, and I’m sure there are other random charges here and there. Ultimately I am not a happy customer, but perhaps I chose the wrong place as a solo traveller. I’ll be the guinea pig for the rest of you via this message. Also the rooms are average, functional, and not what I would call 4 star but probably good enough for kids. Views and access to the sea are nice. I used a voucher so it was fine, but to think this would have cost me nearly £1000 otherwise just a weekend makes my stomach lurch… ‘Luxurious’ it was not. I suppose all that money is going into something, maybe the facilities I didn’t use. Two details: reception were kind, to their credit, and the gym is excellent, it’s a real full-service gym.

War wie immer alles perfekt. Kommen aufjedenfall wieder. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Preis Leistung passt. Sehr viele Freizeitmöglickeiten für kinder.
