We were at the hostel 3h before Check In, we asked if we could check in early- wasn’t possible so we waited those 3h. Our luggage was stored in an unsafe storage (the door was constantly open). We sat in the common room- very cozy, nice music, waitresses asking if we wanted drinks, could charge your phone. After those 3h we could go into our room- that’s when the shit show started. A guy in the room had used 3 Beds, it smelled disgusting and looked absolutely horrible in there. No bed was clean, we went downstairs to the reception- she apologised and gave us free drinks at the bar and told us to wait 30min. We didn’t mind that much, she handelt the situation well and it wasn’t her fault. After those 30min we went up to the room- nothing changed. It looked exactly as disgusting as it did 30min ago. We went downstairs, the receptionist apologised again. This time no free drinks ore anything just an apology. By then it was around 5pm. We went out to eat, to relax and think about another sleeping option. When we came back our room was finally clean. They even kicked out a spare bed and brought a new mattress in. While the beds were clean, the guy from our room was still there and disgusting as ever. It reeked, he spread his garbage everywhere and had weed lying on his mattress, together with 2 pillows (he took one from another bed, that’s why one was missing on one of our beds). The room stilled smelled modded. The bathrooms were just as disgusting as our room. Toilets in little cabins on one side of the room and showers on the other- no chance of privacy. 4 sinks at the end of the room. Whenever someone showered, the whole bathroom was flooded, there was no soap anywhere. The hostel felt sketchy. And while the receptionist did what she could, the staff didn’t look like they were working. Always sitting together, smoking or hanging out at the bar- it didn’t seem very professional. All together our stay wasn’t the worse but our room situation wasn’t the greatest either. The bathrooms just felt unhygienic and the stuff seemed very unprofessional.

ME ROBARON EN EL HOSTEL. El hostel ofrece un "servicio" de baggage storage, pero está muy mal gestionado, yo dejé mi mochila unas horas y cuando volví a buscarla estaba tirada en el piso, en la otra punta del cuarto, con todos los bolsillos abiertos, parte de mis cosas tiradas en el piso, y claramente me habían ROBADO pertenencias. El hostel no se responsabiliza de los robos por lo cual su respuesta fue nula ante mi situación. He viajado por muchísimos lugares y es la primera vez que me ocurre algo así, claramente está que la gestión y el manejo del sitio en donde se deja el equipaje es muy decadente, es un cuarto al que ingresa gente constantemente sin la supervisión del personal del hostel, por lo que es completamente inseguro. Me resultó una experiencia totalmente desagradable y amarga, y si un hostel no se preocupa por la seguridad de sus huéspedes realmente no vale la pena.

El lugar es muy bueno si lo que buscas es fiesta y conocer gente. En la planta baja tienen un bar y un pequeño escenario donde suelen hacer actividades/eventos. Asi como esta bueno para las fiestas, si te toca una habitación en el primer piso (donde yo me quedo) es probable que mientras dure la fiesta escuches ruido de la musica mientras intentas dormir.

I am local in Ljubljana. I’ve been to this hostel a hundred times, it felt like a second home that I’d crash in every now and then as I had always had positive experiences. Even my previous review was 5 stars. I recommended this place to all tourists I met, and we regularly came for drinks with my friends. Tonight, I checked in, went in for 30 seconds, had an emergency and had to go immediately. I go back to the reception to ask if it’s possible to cancel it, she says no that she can’t refund me because “new rules”. I didn’t even touch my bed, and was in the hostel for 30 seconds. This just rubbed me off wrong. Absolutely zero understanding or empathy. Can’t imagine having to deal with people like this on any more serious matter. I also overheard them talk on reception, how if a guest is late even 5 minutes on checkout they’ll keep your deposit. I couldn’t care less about the money, it’s more a matter of principle and manners for me, because without that we are no better than animals. I’ve been in hostels across the world and never seen such contempt for guests. Da tako delate z gosti je sramota.

Ljubljana is a lovely, peaceful city, which is in stark contrast to the hostel which may be one of the loudest I’ve been to! If you’re into parties and music this seems like a great place. You can hear the music in the common areas from the first floor which isn’t so much a problem, but the hotel across the road was hosting a band on the first night which was very loud (although, nice music!) and we had to have the window open as no air conditioning. It’s quite a big hostel, with at least three floors. On each floor there is a kitchen and laundrette and bathrooms which is super handy and gives you space to socialise with people in your room/floor, rather than the whole hostel at once. The downside to that is when someone is cooking pasta at 4:30am and the cooker starts beeping and won’t stop beeping, waking everyone up. Then at 5am when the beeping finally stops, someone downstairs decides to turn the music on again. It is noisy so if you want a quiet hostel this is not the place, but to be honest it’s not too bad, just a little frustrating at times. The beds are actually pretty comfy, would be improved by a privacy curtain. The ‘drawers’ under the bed are a bit of a pain, and the floors seem to be always dirty although the cleaning staff are very lovely. Price wise though it’s great value and it’s located 10 minute walk from the bus station, train station and city centre. You don’t need to use any public transport here and Ljubljana is very walkable. So it’s great value and I would stay here again if coming back to Ljubljana.

This hostel is very dirty and personel is very rude, there was cold and dirty toilet also the mattress was old and the bedding was not washed with traces of blood. I do not recommend staying there

We had a great stay, one of the nicest hostels we’ve been to, and in particular a great organised bar crawl by Matic! <3||The hostel is in a good location, everything is walkable with some nice food places around, and the coach/ train station walkable too!

this hostel really is a vibe! i love the interior and the staff is quite friendly, there’s the pub crawl 6 nights a week (always except sunday) where you can meet even more people, so it’s quite a social hostel. the location is awesome and just five minutes of walking to the city centre. the city itself is beautiful (i recommend staying three nights). the music at the bar is awesome too! would love to have the playlist hahah

This is a really good hostel, there are a lot of negative reviews but I can confirm they aren’t accurate. Sure, the bathroom is situation is unusual, shared between men and women, but it’s nothing horrible and they are 100% usable. The hostel has a pub crawl 6 days a week and it’s great to meet people. If you need to sleep then it’s also ok, sure you can hear the music but it’s still ok to sleep if you want an early night. It’s super easy to meet people thanks to the pub crawl, and also there is a group chat for the entire hostel too. Would 100% recommend for every solo traveler!!!
