Nice place to hike. Lot's of place around to chill. Mount Saint Mary (Slovene: Šmarna gora), originally known as Holm, is an inselberg in the north of Ljubljana. It is the highest hill in the city and a popular hiking destination. You will meet young and old people. Best time to hike is just before the sunrise or at the evenings to watch the sunset... I recommend.

It is the whole morning experience that makes this place unique. You should walk up the Smarna Gora hill as early as possible to avoid the crowds and than you can have it for your self(almost) to enjoy the full way up. There are plenty ways up so if you take the longer ones than you are for sure alone. Church is also nice to see.
