we had an excellent experience with hertz pula airport!! was a bit nervous about hiring a car given some of the reviews on other rental agencies in pula, but hertz made everything very very easy. they let us pay the deposit with a debit card which most agencies don’t allow, super grateful! also we cleaned the car before returning - they didn’t expect us too, and were all good with some dirt. absolutely worth paying the slightly more expensive rental fee for such good service :)

Heel vriendelijk personeel, wij kregen een gratis upgrade naar een grotere auto, omdat de gehuurde auto niet beschikbaar was op het moment van aankomst. Hele fijne auto die wij meekrijgen! i had not planned to go to hertz even though i’ve a presidential status in the US. as a curiosity stopped at the kiosk and that friendly exchange led me renting their car for 10 days to travel around europe. the two folks there helped me with their offers and matched the prices with what i was getting online at another company. besides, the manager petar stayed in touch and his colleague was a short call away whenever i needed him. i had a mild accident and petar spoke like a friend on the phone helping me navigate the situation and explaining the rationale behind exorbitant charges. he prepared the file for the insurance company which made my life easy to file complaint. if i return to pula i’ll seek petar’s help beyond car. he loves his city and has a list of recommendations.
