Best Avis location I've experienced anywhere in the world, and I've been to more than a few dozen of them. There was a lot of attention paid to details. The staff spent the time to give each customer personalized assistance in helping them understand the key points of Slovenian traffic rules, how to use the toll way in Slovenia and the neighboring countries, how to navigate the airport, and the rental car in particular. The car was exactly the size and class that I reserved, not an unwanted upgrade to a massive SUV or an electric car like Avis branches in the US often do to me. The car was clean and everything fully functional. This is how rental car should be.

I frequently choose either Budget or Avis ... or the most popular company in the country I visit. Avis team at LJU was very welcoming and had all conditions clear before going forward with the rental (I had an online reservation with zero charge) They only reserved $300 deposit on credit card, unlike other companies who can make this number ridiculously high. Both rent and return did not take longer than 6 min
