On the 16th of April I made a reservation for a car in Palma de Mallorca. Upon arrival on 30th of April at approximately 00:30 a.m. to collect my vehicle with my friends, we were informed by an Alamo employee that no cars are available. Keep in mind I received a confirmation on my booking and even filled out all the information required for accelerated check-in. The Alamo employee offered us to either take a taxi or rent a car from a different company. Taking a taxi was not an option since we already had pre-booked plans around the island. At the time, the employee explicitly assured us that Alamo would cover any additional cost incurred due to this inconvenience. Acting in reliance on this assurance, we rented a car from a different company at a significantly higher price. The unplanned expense, coupled with the disruption and loss of approximately four hours from our itinerary, has resulted in both financial loss and considerable inconvenience. To emphasize the severity of the situation, this was happening in the middle of the night which made everything including finding a new car to rent much more difficult. Later that day (30th of April), I wrote a formal complaint and a request for a reimbursement to customerservicepalma@em.com. After speaking with of your employees via email, I finally received an email stating that my refund request has been approved. It was also stated that the corresponding amount which is: 448,94 EUR (new rental) – 115,71 EUR (original reservation with Alamo) = 333,22 EUR. I have also sent the invoice for our new rental to ensure transparency on our side. I received this email on 19th of May. Since then, I have not yet received the money, nor have I received any response from Alamo. I have written several more emails to check if there may be any issues on their side. On the 9th of July I even tried to contact Alamo via Facebook since email was clearly not an option anymore. After explaining the situation once more I received an email on the next day (10th of July) stating that my request has been forwarded to the branch. Since then, I have not heard anything from Alamo. Overall, I have been waiting for the reimbursement for over 2 months now despite it being APPROVED on the 19th of May. My patience is now at its limit. This has been the most horrible and awful experience with any car rental company. I strongly recommend everyone to NOT even consider Alamo as an option to rent a car. The worst part is we were not the only ones. There were at least 6 or more groups of people there who also had no car waiting for them despite making a reservation or even paying for the rental. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE

A éviter !! Nous avions loué une voiture via internet, arrivés sur place, ils ont refusé notre carte bancaire pour la caution( ce n était pas clair dans le contrat) et ont exigé que l'on prenne une assurance avec une majoration de 290 euros pour avoir le véhicule. Nous avons refusé et sommes allés chez un concurrent ! L'accueil était médiocre et les interlocutrices mal aimables, antipathiques. C'est la première fois que nous sommes confrontés à ce problème à l'étranger. Si j'avais pu, je n'aurai même pas mis une étoile !

An absolute DISASTER I would’ve never imagined that I would have to go through such a horrible time during my holiday holidays last month, but at the end it really happened. During my visit in Croatia last Month, I rented car And pay the insurance to get the car you have to leave Behind a credit card from which they could take your money They gave us a car which was working and looking nice. On the way to our mansion the car was already making problems. So I decided to call them directly on the same day and to let them know that we need another car. In this situation being responsible Was something good, but in the end it turned out to be the worst mistake I could’ve ever done Instead of giving me a new car, they frame me for the problems on the car and took the money from me Stay away from Alamo booking is also not going to help you Very bad company, never in my life Will I rent a car again Disgrace horrible

Diese Autovermietung ist in keinster Weise zu empfehlen. Zum einen war das Personal höchst unfreundlich und nicht kooperativ. Aufgrund eines Defektes am Fahrzeug waren wir gezwungen eine Nacht in Split zu übernachten da unsere Unterkunft weit entfernt war. Die Autovermietung hat uns kein neues Auto gestellt, da wir nicht zahlen wollten bevor der Schaden festgestellt wurde. Ich kann jedem der stressfrei ein Auto mieten will empfehlen einen weiten Bogen um diese Autovermietung zu machen.

Ich bin wirklich enttäuscht von dieser Autovermietung. Obwohl überall steht, dass man mit Kreditkarte zahlen muss wurde meine Kreditkarte vor Ort plötzlich nicht akzeptiert ohne nachvollziehbare Begründung. Stattdessen wurde meine ganz normale Visa-Karte nur als „EC-Karte“ eingestuft, obwohl es eine echte Kreditkarte ist. Die Folge: Ich musste zusätzlich eine hohe Extrakaution bezahlen, weil sie meinten, ich hätte keine „richtige“ Kreditkarte. Das wirkt für mich wie reine Abzocke man wird vor Ort mit Zusatzkosten überrascht, obwohl man eigentlich alle Voraussetzungen erfüllt hat. Für mich absolut intransparent und kundenunfreundlich. Ich werde hier definitiv kein Auto mehr mieten und kann nur jedem empfehlen es auch nicht zu tun!!!

Unfreundlich bis zum geht nicht mehr! Aber vor allem ekelhafte Geschäftsmethoden bei denen versucht wird Versicherungen zu verkaufen und bei Nicht-Gelingen versucht wird die Kaution einzuziehen. Ohne Begründung oder sonstiges!

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen – unseriöses Geschäftsgebaren! Ich habe bei dieser Autovermietung leider sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Das Fahrzeug, das man mir gegeben hat, war in einem fragwürdigen Zustand – Schäden, die bei der Übergabe nicht dokumentiert wurden, wurden später plötzlich mir angelastet. Der Eindruck: Man gibt absichtlich beschädigte oder mangelhafte Autos raus und versucht danach, Kund:innen für bereits vorhandene Schäden zur Kasse zu bitten. Das wirkt wie eine regelrechte Abzockmasche – besonders, wenn man nicht jede noch so kleine Macke bei der Übergabe dokumentiert. Ich kann jedem nur raten, das Fahrzeug bei der Übergabe ausführlich zu filmen und notfalls einen Zeugen mitzunehmen. Für mich war das definitiv das letzte Mal bei diesem Anbieter.

Eine Zumutung! Uns wurde ein nagelneues Auto gegeben, dass aber noch am ersten Tag bei unserer Ankunft verbrannt roch. Bei Meldung am nächsten Tag stellte sich heraus die Kuppel sei verbrannt. Statt uns ein neues Auto zu geben wurden ihm Verschuldungsbeweis und Gutachten einer Werkstatt 1200€ Kaution von unserem Konto abgezogen!!! Ich wiederhole: ohne Gutachten oder Schuldbeweis!!! Den Kundenservice scheint das nicht zu interessieren… Wir wurden durchweg unfreundlich behandelt und um 1200€ gebracht (die Urlaubskosten schlichtweg verdoppelt)! Unfassbar!

We rented car with full insurance cover well in advance prior arrival. On arrival day were slightly pushed to get full insurance from them as what we've bought is for booking.com and in case of a problem we have to deal with them first. Refuse to do so. We were given renault kadjar, it has an issue with clutch. When driver is braking the car it is always has a kind of kick. Impossible miss this issue, so presume that prior us company was aware about situation however gave this car to the customer. Apart from that car had multiple scratches and dents. As well as cleanness standard was not perfect. When we gave back car we shared all these things to the guy who take over the car. Deposit money were frozen on the credit card for 3 weeks. All in all do not recommend this company, try to find something else. Might be a bit more expensive but good quality.

Just avoid the company at all costs! It doesn’t matter what you book online when you get there everything changes. Even if you book full insurance they try to sell you an extra mega full insurance (balkan tax probably). If you don’t want it then they don’t want to give you the car and when you agree they say you still need to pay deposit on credit card. Basically the rental it’s up to the very arogant guy that works there with 0 costumer service skills and it goes mad if he can’t scam you. Luckily ended up renting with another company but renting from Split airport feels like dealing with a car rental mafia.

Be mindful that your booking depends on their mood. When I got there the guy said I need to pay cash or any Visa / Mastercard an “extra special insurance” or the second option is to give him a credit card to cover €1500 deposit. Even if on their website the maximum insurance was “Mastercover” which we add it already online (pictures attached). Then my partner asked what’s the deal with this “extra special insurance” since we have already one and we were not interested in another one because it seems to be some different rules online on their website. Probably he didn’t like her comment. And then the guy became nervous and frustrated and changed his mind saying that we can only pay with a credit card and full deposit if we want the car. We told him that I don’t have my credit card with me and I will pay his extra insurance (he only asked for about €20) just to get out of the airport but he smiled in a sarcastic way saying that “the good part is that you didn’t pay online so you can go to a different company to find one”. The point was not about €20 extra, but nobody wants to start his holiday in a beautiful city like Split being disappointed about a service that you booked. We never had this problem before. We went to a different rentals afterwards having no other option and everything was ok apart from paying double that we planned. I’ve only chose a star because there is no option for 0 stars 👌🏼

Zero issues with Alamo on my week long rental in Split. Very quick desk to collect the car and we were on the road in a perfectly fine Dacia. 4 stars for not having a full to full fueling policy.

Bez problema online bukirao automobil i platio,po dolasku traze kreditnu kartu koju nisam imao,iako su mi ista gospoda u prva dva navrata uzeli gotovinu(300€) kao polog..povrat novca nisu takodjer htjeli napravit,navodno sam 3 dana prije trebaö stornirati.znqci otimaci i kradljivci kojima bi savjetovao da malo bolje naznace potrebu za Kreditnom kartom a ne da ovako pljackaju ljude.

Pravi balkanski lopovi. Cilj im je jedino prodat dodatno osiguranje. Ako imate samo debitnu karticu reci ce vam da treba kreditna a kad kazete da imate kreditnu onda kazu da kartica ne prolazi. I kad dodete kuci odete u vasu banku i pitate zasto, banka vam kaze da nije istina da kartica ne prolazi nego da vas ovaj lopov koji tamo "radi" (citaj zabusava) izmanipulirao i da je sam otkazao tranzakciju. Eto to je slika Hrvatske danas, jadna ti je ta zemlja za koju smo se borili kad su sami lopovi ostali u njoj
