The Serbian Shooting Sport Federation (SSS) is dedicated to the development and promotion of shooting sports in Serbia. Established with the aim of enhancing the skills of athletes and coaches, the organization publishes annual reports documenting program realizations from 2014 through to 2024. These reports reflect the accomplishments of the most successful clubs, trainers, and shooters, as well as the categorization of athletes and coaches. They also include lists of scholarship recipients and records achieved over the years.
A crucial aspect of the federation's operations includes the issuance of work permits for sports professionals within SSS. The federation maintains a comprehensive list of these licensed experts, along with detailed regulations governing the licensing process. Additionally, there are guidelines regarding mandatory health examinations for athletes.
The SSS diligently organizes and participates in numerous competitions and events, notably including the World Shooting Para Sports (WSPS) Grand Prix held in Novi Sad, where Serbian shooter Živko Papaz recently claimed a silver medal in sports pistol shooting. Across various competitions, members of the federation have achieved significant rankings, with exceptional performances noted in events featuring air and small caliber weapons.
In the realm of coaching, the federation encourages continuous professional growth through participation in international training sessions. Three Serbian coaches recently completed a European Shooting Confederation (ESC) Development Coaching Course in Budapest, enhancing their technical knowledge and skills. Their successful completion of this course indicates the federation's commitment to elevating coaching standards throughout Serbia.
In its pursuit of nurturing young talent, the SSS organizes summer training camps. The latest camp took place in the Sports Center in Karataš, hosting 57 athletes and trainers, focusing primarily on cadets born in 2009 and later. This year's program combined physical training, shooting practice, and educational seminars, overseen by experienced coaches. The camp successfully concluded with a controlled competition, allowing young shooters to showcase their skills.
Through its various programs, the Serbian Shooting Sport Federation continues to positively impact the shooting sports community, fostering talent development and encouraging high standards among athletes and coaches. With a focus on education, training, and competitive success, the federation stands as a pillar of support for shooting sports in Serbia.
