We knew the Vie di Romans wine (Chardonnay) from the Italian restaurant Spiga d'Oro in Belgium, and really wanted to visit this winery because of the great wine we had drunk. If you think you have seen all the wine cellars in your life, then you should definitely visit the domain and the cellars of this winery. An experience in itself. We received a warm welcome from Matteo and a great explanation. Including of course tasting the fantastic wines. A super nice experience and we certainly hope to see him again at an event in Belgium.

Nach einem tollen Abendessen mit Freunden im La Subida, bei dem wir auch einen tollen Sauvignon von Vie di Romans getrunken haben war das an dem Tag unserer 2.ter Winzer, den wir besucht haben. Dass eine Verkostung nur mit einem Termin möglich ist kennen wir von anderen Weingütern und die Qualität des Sauvignon lies uns den Tag umplanen. Nach der Verkostung wollten wir bestellen…. Zuerst musste jeder von uns 25€ für die Verkostung bezahlen. Ok, ohne Einkauf machen andere Weingüter das auch. Aber beim Kauf von einigen Kartons des echt guten Weines geht das gar nicht und haben wir so auch noch nicht erlebt. Daher die Warnung an andere, denen vorab auch nicht gesagt werden sollte dass die Verkostung einen festen Preis hat.
