Super fun and creepy! You can walk through the tunnel in less than 10 min. The artwork was really cool but I wish we could know more about it (context, artist …) but not sure where to find this info. It’s also a great way to get across the taller hill without having to climb too much. It’s much chiller than outside in summer which can be a relief as well. Though the tunnel is said to be open until 9pm, the doors close much earlier so take that into account for the planning

The Grič Tunnel is a 350 meter underground passage built in 1943 during World War II as a bomb shelter and pedestrian route. Located beneath the Grič neighborhood, it connects several key streets in the city center. After years of disuse, it was renovated and reopened to the public in 2016. Today, it serves not only as a pedestrian shortcut but also as a unique cultural venue, hosting exhibitions, events, and seasonal displays. Admission is free. Depending on which entrance you use, some may be less obvious. One of the main ones is through a set of green doors off the main street. It’s cooler inside the tunnel, and it can get drafty.
