This might not be as great as the things that you’ve read about it. So much potential to be something really great (and it seems like it was in the past), but it’s passed through so many owners and hasn’t been invested in recently that it’s a bit disappointing now. Relatively new owners now and glad they’re Slovenian, but the wine is mediocre and the price of the tour is outrageous, especially given the quality and variety of the wines and how run down the building is. The staff is young and friendly and we had no trouble understanding our guide like others have complained about. She had interesting facts and did a great job serving the wine. The ownership is really the ones that have failed to make this as special as it could be. I hope they start producing better wines and/or invest in the building to have a better tour of an amazing historical site.

20€ for the tour with 2 wine tastings, 25€ for tour with 4 tastings. Though a group that came after us was quoted 30€ for 4 tastings (in german, which perhaps the tour guide didn't know I understood as well). Our guide was very friendly and did her best with the material. You are touring a cellar with an interesting and rich history. But it all seems run down, little effort put in and I found the price very expensive (we have been to vineyards with free tours and tastings if you purchase something, seems much more reasonable). Wine tastings ok but not overwhelming- nice sauvignon. Unfortunately little shared about the wines, how they are made and aged. Has potential but needs more effort from the owner.

Die Führung wurde leider von einer sehr unerfahrenen und schlecht verständlichen jungen Dame durchgeführt. Die darauffolgende Weinprobe war bei der Vorstellung der Weine gespickt mit immer wieder den gleichen Stichworten „fruchtig, frisch, sehr lecker“. Alles in allem hat es uns gar nicht gefallen.

Leider eine der schlechtesten Führungen, die ich jemals hatte. Die junge Frau hatte keine Ahnung von Wein oder dem Weinkeller. Das Englisch war sehr schwer zu verstehen, Teile unserer Gruppe konnten sie überhaupt nicht verstehen. Wein beschrieb sie grundsätzlich als "good" oder "very good". Nicht zu empfehlen für den teuren Eintritt.

There are two entrances. One day I went in from one, the day after only the other one was open. English guide tours 15 € two glasses of wine 20 € four glasses of wine The visit to the dismissed cellar could be interesting, but I would not recommend it to a friend. The wine tasting was disappointing, but that is personal.

Lovely 1.5-hour tour followed by a wine tasting. Generous "deci" (10 cl each) pours of Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Rosé, and Rumeni Muškat (Yellow Muscat!) for today's offering. Learned lots on the tour and the tour guide was funny (English-language tour). Highly recommend to anchor yourself in local history and wine knowledge.

Ein Erlebnis, welches man nicht so schnell vergisst. Der Keller ist nur beeindruckend, die Leute, die dort arbeiten nur nett und kompetent! Und als wäre das nicht genug schmecken die Weine, die verköstigt werden auch noch verboten lecker! Einschenkbefehl! Wer in Maribor nicht im Vinag war, ist nicht in Maribor gewesen! Das Stadttor wird für euch geschlossen bleiben!

Dieser Weinkeller ist mit seiner Vielzahl an Gängen und Räumen sehr imposant. Eine Führung lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Man erfährt etwas von der Geschichte dieses Weinkellers und über die Schaumweinherstellung. Die Führung auf deutsch war super.

Die Führung in deutscher Sprache mit der älteren Dame war fabelhaft. Sie ist super witzig und weiß einfach alles über den Weinkeller und Wein generell. Klare Empfehlung für jeden das dort zu machen. Der Weinkeller ist riesig und wirklich interessant zu sehen! Ein Stern Abzug weil es dort oben zur Weinverkostung und vorher im Wartebereich total dreckig war. Toiletten ohne Licht und ohne Toilettenpapier. Da wurde sehr sehr lange nicht geputzt und renoviert. Die sehr gute Führung hat es aber wieder gut gemacht und alles andere aufgewertet. Dieser Ort kann ein tolles touristisches Ziel werden!
