I recently rented a car about Camping Strobec and encountered an issue that seems to be a common pattern. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told that my credit card couldn’t be accepted due to “technical problems.” Despite several attempts, the issue wasn’t resolved on their side. As a result, I was informed that I could still get the car, but only if I agreed to a higher daily rate – an additional €20 per day compared to the original booking. No extra insurance was added, just a sudden price increase. After speaking to other travelers, I learned that this kind of situation is not unusual in Croatia, where rental companies sometimes reject credit cards and then raise prices on the spot. If you’re planning to rent a car in Croatia, I recommend being extra cautious: bring a backup credit card, confirm all details in writing beforehand, and book through a trusted provider with clear terms.

We had a wonderful Tour to the Krka Waterfalls with a boat trip afterwards and some free time in lovely small city. Our tour-guy Stipe made it especially great! He gives you interesting extra information, even tips beyond this trip. He's like a good friend who wants to show you how wonderful croatia is.

Beautiful place to tour… KRKA waterfalls NP had a nice wooden path mostly flat but some steps easy if you are active, and still do-able for slower movers. We had plenty of time to enjoy it and our guide Stipe made sure we knew where to be and checked us in at each meeting point during the day. The 2nd stop was a boat ride, then to a little town and we enjoyed cooling off at the swim beach in the river before heading back into Split on our air conditioned coach.
