It’s hard to describe why We come here again and again. Tonka and Iztok maintain a little heaven for their guests. I love Tonkas garden and love what Iztok created with his own hands. So hostile, lovely and welcoming people. If you’re into fancy appartments with dishwasher, mosquito nets and newest design, you’re looking for the wrong place. We travel a lot all around the world and whenever We come back here it’s for peace and relaxation. It’s just about us! That’s why We never come during high season. 😉 We’re not into seeing too many people if possible. The kitchen is well equipped so We always cook which We take to the Beach. We love riding our bikes to our favourite rocky Beach spot. But there’s plenty of sandy beaches around. Still plenty of places to explore nearby, eg Korčula town (don’t visit the Marco Polo museum: terrible!!), day trip to Mljet from Korčula with the fast ferry, explore the hidden beaches of Korčula island, we always take a bike trip to the village of Račišće (last time we rented e-bikes as we became too old to do the trip on regular bikes (ca. 36 km from and back to Lumbarda). If you come around middle/end of June you will experience Friday evening “Lumbarda nights”, when villagers gather at the main square and bring/offer/cook their home made delicacies. It’s a ca 10 minute walk down to the village center. There’s plenty of restaurants but we mostly prefer to eat at the main square restaurant, when in case of European or World Cup events you can follow the games on big screens. Iztok speaks good English and Tonka also understands a lot. They are well respected, hard working village members who will help and support you with any problem. Appartments: 1 smaller appartment 1 bigger appartement -> both have a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and a joint room for kitchen/dining room and living room. 1 appartment with 2 bedrooms and the same as above 🙏🏻🥰
