Forgotten Heritage: Preserving European Avant-Garde Art

Welcome to Forgotten Heritage – a unique initiative dedicated to exploring and archiving the influential works of avant-garde artists from Europe, particularly focusing on Poland, Croatia, Belgium, and Estonia. This project highlights the vibrant and often overlooked contributions from the 1960s and 1970s.

Our Mission

Under the auspices of the Arton Foundation and partners, and supported by the Creative Europe program, Forgotten Heritage sets out to shed light on the achievements of women artists through our ongoing project titled Not Yet Written Stories. We are committed to further expanding our database by researching and documenting the valuable contributions of female artists from Croatia, Latvia, Poland, and Slovenia.
