Walter is a restaurant that truly serves great grilled food—authentic Balkan style. However, if you're going to build a place with such a large capacity, that should also mean you're able to serve a full house in a timely manner. When we sat down, the table still hadn't been cleared or cleaned from the previous guests. It took a while before someone came to tidy it up. We waited 20 minutes just for a waiter to approach us, another 20 minutes for drinks, 45 minutes for the food, and then another 20 minutes just to get napkins. There were six of us at the table—yet not a single napkin was provided until we asked multiple times. Summer, everything's burning, no ice. What kind of restaurant has no ice? People at nearby tables were asking us if we had sugar because their coffee got cold waiting. Dear owner, please hire more staff. Everyone would gladly eat and drink more if they could be served properly and on time. This isn’t the waiters’ fault—they were clearly overwhelmed and doing their best. The problem lies in the overall organization of the restaurant. It seems the kitchen is also struggling. These aren’t complex meals—there’s no reason to wait 45 minutes for ćevapi in lepinja. Wishing you a successful reorganization. Also—please do something about the flies.

Zum essen kann ich leider nichts sagen… nach einer halben stunde warten auf eine einfache Portion Cevapi ist nicht gekommen … leider mussten wir dann gehen Zu sagen ist wir haben den Kellner vorher noch gefragt er hat uns 10- max 15 min zugesichert

I waited over 20 minutes to order while being completely ignored. When the waiter finally came, he didn’t even stop at my table and later forgot my order. When he came again I was trying to explain what I wanted, but he interrupted me, talked over me waving both hands and disrespectfully didn’t let me finish. At that time I was the only customer, but when a group of four arrived, he gave them full attention and regular checked on them. Then was waving again to other another dish. As for the food, wasn't anything special - wasn't prepared with love.

Third time we are visiting the Walter Restaurant Beograd Airport (always Sunday late afternoon). And its the third time the service is catastrophic and completely understaffed. About 15 of the 24 outside tables were occupied. Tables were left with used plates and glases and food remains during our whole stay. After proactively addressing this to the waiter he used the menue to whipe away the onion remains that then stuck on the menue. The whiped off onions flew down on the floor next to table, where travelers put their luggage on. This has nothing to do with shortage of staff but simple common sense and a bit of service professionalism. This waiter surely doesn't care at all or doesn't know any better. Besides the food is really good and due to the fact, that this restaurant is the only open air option at this airport, we will most probably return a fourth time and see, whether anything has improved in the meantime.
