Shambala je več kot azijska restavracija. Razlog za to se verjetno skriva v dejstvu, da pripravljamo najboljši tajski curry v mestu, delno pa tudi v tem, da smo mojstri povezovanja okusov. Nekatere naše jedi so zato pristno in tradicionalno azijske, druge pa lahko imenujemo ‘fusion’ (čeprav nam ta beseda sploh ni všeč, a boljše zaenkrat še nismo našli).

First of all I would like to leave the waiters out of this. There were only 2 for 8+ tables, totally understaffed and probably working long shifts. We sat outside. We were moved inside because of rain. We got our starters servered without cutlery. "Best we can do is spoon or sticks because all cutlery was outside". ?!? Waited just for napkins for 30+ minutes. It was probably 35C inside, no AC, proper tropical experience. Starters tastless, even the tuna, which the waiter asured the portions were bigger as before but we got 5 small bites for 16€ Mains terrible as well. Steaks that were ordered rare came medium, mediums came well done -. Oh and the roof started leaking mid starters. Price: almost 400€ for 6 (out of that was 50€ for wine). Tasteless food with no cutlery in tropical conditions in what should have been an upscale place? Never again.

Well, the restaurant is pretty and also has nice terase. Big choices of wines - we didn't try. But for that price I would expect something really different. We tried coconut soup with shrimps for 8,30€ and main dishes around 18€. What we got was very dissapointing. Nothing special - average thai food, bistro quality. It looks rich but tastes very poor. Sorry. I do not recommend.
