Perfect place, which elevates the food you can get in Croatia to a next level. We loved our evening here from start to finish. The place has a lovely calm atmosphere, very kind and knowledgeable waiters, and great takes on food that in other restaurants in tourist towns like Trogir is mediocre. For the quality you get here I’d say the pricing is really fair, as it doesn’t cost much more than most restaurants in town while being so much tastier at the same time. 100% recommend!

I normally focus on the positives during reviews but I did feel necessary to be honest for a Michelin restaurant. The food was not what I would expect at this price range. The flavor was good, but nothing really to write home about. The portions were really too small even though I understand high end restaurant portions are smaller than normal. My husband and I ordered the couvert, bread, shared appetizer, shared pasta, and each had a main entrée but still paid €156 and left somewhat hungry. The lamb dish was very good but the ravioli and seabass were lacking. Atmosphere was nice on the patio but the chair was a tad uncomfortable. Our server was absolutely amazing and kind. He did recommend great wine choices and was very attentive, which we appreciated. Overall good but room for improvement in my humble opinion.

Absolutely amazing meal start to finish. We enjoyed every second of it with the highlight being the beef tartar. The wine pairing was fantastic. Kristijan was attentive and so knowledgeable. Looking forward to returning again one day.

Une expérience. C'est tout à fait le mot. L'acceuil est délicat, précis mais chaleureux. Les plats servis montrent une maîtrise totale de la cuisson des poissons et des produits locaux. Une cuisine croate généreuse mais dont le raffinement est poussé à l'extrême. Que dire des vins et des apéritifs sinon qu'ils s'accordent parfaitement au morceau que le chef nous joue au gré des plats. Merci et à bientôt

Had a lovely experience at this restaurant. The cuisine was flavorful and creative. The chef is very talented. Our waiter, Christian did a wonderful job guiding us through the menu. I have an allergy and the restaurant accommodated me so well. I appreciated it very much. Highly recommend. Delicious!

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Mare. Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich, zuvorkommend und hatte sehr gute Fachkentnisse im bereich Essen und Wein. Das Essen war sehr gut, Geschmacklich ein Feuerwerk für den Gaumen. Perfekt ausgewogen und Optisch sehr schön angerichtet. Herzlichen dank an das Team für den schönen Abend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Met mijn zoon twee avonden gegeten bij Restaurant Mare Trogir.... Dat waren twee fantastische avonden, alles klopte......de locatie, de sfeer, het heerlijke eten.... De kaart en de gerechten waren net nieuw.....wat een verwennerij! De vermelding in de Michelin gids is zeer terecht . En ondanks deze superlatieven zijn de chef, zijn keukenpersoneel en de mensen in de bediening van alle arrogantie verschoond gebleven.... Dit is echt een aanrader voor iedereen die in de buurt is, of je nu van vis, vlees of vegetarisch houdt. Wij hopen snel weer een keer hier te eten!

Yesterday, my friend and I visited restaurant Mare with high expectations, having read so many wonderful reviews. Unfortunately, we left feeling deeply disappointed. We had booked a table and were genuinely looking forward to a pleasant evening. Hopefully, what we experienced was an exception and not representative of your usual standards. The charming little restaurant was full, with around 25 guests. Sadly, there was only one server working – a kind young man doing his very best to manage everything: seating guests, clearing tables, slicing bread, and attempting to recommend wines. As the wine list was not yet available for the season, it was impossible to know what was on offer. Understandably, this led to significant delays, with many empty glasses and finished plates left unattended at tables, and guests exchanging concerned looks. While the server remained friendly and professional under the circumstances, the service was clearly affected by the lack of support. The food, unfortunately, did not live up to expectations – neither in presentation nor in taste. We politely expressed our dissatisfaction with the meat, which was tough and unappetizing (we had left it untouched on our plates). To our surprise, the chef came out into the dining area, visibly upset, and attempted to correct us on our impression of the dish. We found this highly inappropriate and unprofessional – what happened to customer service? Even more disappointing was the fact that we were still charged full price for the dish, despite clearly stating we were not satisfied and had hardly touched it. As we were leaving, another guest was also being corrected by the chef for expressing their dissatisfaction with their food – again with the explanation that “the food was good.” It was, quite honestly, a fiasco of an evening.

To je bio praznik za nepce....takve kombinacije tekstura i sastojaka nikad nisam probala.Sve je pogođeno, svega je dovoljno.A tek slastice,bomba ...torta sa narančama i bajamima je božanstvena , sama se topi u ustima.Ovaj restoran svima toplo preporučam !!!!
