Along one of the small, hot and crowded streets within Dubrovnik old town sits Paradise Konoba. My first thought when I saw this restaurant was that it might only be busy because of its location, and I'm still not sure if that's the case after my visit. The staff here are very friendly, with customers joking with them and the same from people walking past, so I do think there are frequent customers. The problem with my visit lay solely with the food. Ćevapi cost €23 (roughly) and the portion was small, with 6 ćevapi, which had a nice crust but were slighlty pink in the middle, the flatbread was airy and very nice, the chips were nice and so was the kajmak, but the main problem came from when a caterpillar crawled from one of the lettuce leaves, which put me off the rest of my meal. I was given a free drink for this, but it really dampened not only my experience here, but my day in Dubrovnik. Probably worth trying somewhere else out if you're out for food in the old town.

I don’t understand the low ratings. The staff was very friendly, the burgers good and the ambience nice. The prices are okay I guess for a very popular touristic place. I would however recommend people who don’t eat pork to take care and ask about the meat there. We had cheeseburgers and honestly I always had a 100% beef patty in every restaurant I ate them. Except here where I felt a different taste and when I asked what type of meat was that made of I was told it was a mixture of beef and pork. They were very good, just not what I expected. Maybe they should put this in their cards in the ingredients list.

Atmosphere and waiter were good, but after spending a few weeks in Croatia, this was definitely the worst we had. The steak was absolutely flavorless, i don't even think the chef salt and peppered it before cooking it. Had we known this place had a 2 rating, we would've skipped it for sure!

We tried Paradise Konoba despite the lower ratings, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We had fish and shrimp, both were pretty decent. The prices were a bit high, but that’s expected in Dubrovnik City Center. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, which added to the experience. Overall, not amazing but definitely better than expected!

Everything was tasty and well cooked . We ate twice and each time we had a different plate that was delicious. Very polite stuff and owner . It is recommended ! ( I don t understand the negative comments, the price is as usual for a restaurant in the old city )

Portion sizes way to small and way to expensive. I had the Tempura and for 26€ 5 pre bought breaded shrimp and a few fries, no sauce no nothing... Pretty sad.
