Mi smo obitelj od četiri osobe, došli smo umorni nakon dugog putovanja u nadi za ugodnom večerom. Nažalost, ovdje očito sude po izgledu. Hrana je bila osrednja, bez posebnog dojma. Kad smo naručili vodu, konobarica nam je jednostavno stavila bocu na stol bez posluge, a višak pribora i čaša nije uklonjen. Pomislili smo da je to možda njihov standard. No, kada je nakon nas stigao par koji je bio ljepše odjeven, usluga se potpuno promijenila: voda je bila poslužena na lijep način, ponuđeno je vino, stol je bio pravilno postavljen. Iako je lokacija restorana za nas bila idealna, odlučili smo ostatak godišnjeg odmora potrošiti negdje drugdje. Wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie und kamen müde nach einer langen Reise an – in der Hoffnung auf ein angenehmes Abendessen. Leider wird man hier nach dem äußeren Erscheinungsbild beurteilt. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Wir bestellten Wasser, das einfach in der Flasche auf den Tisch gestellt wurde; überflüssiges Besteck und Gläser wurden nicht abgeräumt. Zunächst dachten wir, dies sei der übliche Service. Doch als ein schick gekleidetes Paar nach uns kam, zeigte die Kellnerin plötzlich, dass sie durchaus weiß, wie man Wasser stilvoll einschenkt, Wein empfiehlt und den Tisch ordentlich eindeckt. Obwohl das Restaurant für uns geografisch ideal gelegen war, haben wir uns entschieden, unseren Urlaub lieber woanders zu verbringen. Мы — семья из четырёх человек, пришли уставшие после долгой дороги, рассчитывая на приятный ужин. К сожалению, встречают здесь по одежке. Сервис оказался посредственным: заказав воду, получили просто бутылку, поставленную на стол без подачи, лишние приборы и бокалы никто не убрал. Сначала подумали, что это стандарт заведения. Но позже пришла пара, более элегантно одетая, и обслуживание было на совершенно другом уровне: воду подали красиво, предложили вино, убрали всё лишнее со стола. Еда была посредственной, без впечатлений. Несмотря на удобное расположение, мы решили больше не возвращаться и провести отпуск в других местах.

My boyfriend‘s family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years since their boat is located in the marina. Sadly this year our experience wasn‘t very good and not what we expected at all. We did book a table at 8 pm, got escorted to our table by a very nice young waitress and handed our menus. At 20min past 8 we started to wonder if maybe they‘ve forgotten about us. An additional 5 minutes later finally a waiter arrived and took our food an drink orders. We decided to get two of the precourse platters (as seen on the picture) for 4 people and sadly we all were a little dissapointed. One platter costs 40€ and fpr that you naturally expect to get something extraordinare but all we got was basic and pretty much tasteless. On a 40€ dish you simple cannot put the same fish two times just cut differently but with the exact same flavor palette. Moving on to the main dish the next unwelcome surprise orcurred: We were in the restaurant the previous day for lunch and two of us ordered the same dishes as the day before. To our surprise the exact same dishes for the same price are a lot smaller in the evening. The truffle pasta and the cuttlefish ragout both had been significantly smaller portions at our dinner reservation as they had been the day before at lunch. Apart from all the less than ideal circumstances the ragout and our pasta dishes tasted very nice. Furthermore I ordered some potatoes and swiss chard as side dishes to our mains and we got fries and some spinach which was swimming in garlic oil bordering on unedible. After some time we finally flagged down another waiter and we ordered another round of drinks. To finish out our more than lackluster experience the waiter got the drink order wrong. At this point we didn‘t even bother telling anyone anymore and accepted our fate. It truly saddens me what a turn for the worse this restaurant has taken. I loved it here the previous years and now each year it has gotten worse. It seems the owner now just tries to cater to the great number of charter guests and american tourists that frequent the marina and has lost sight of the guests who have been coming to this restaurant for years. I don‘t think I will visit the restaurant again and will just drive down to Kali or Preko for dinner as there are countless other great options for food on the island.

Nice restaurant with a small variety of food. Prices increased by 25% from last year to now. Maybe that's the reason why it has been only half full in the high season.

Extrémně pomalá obsluha, číšník se vždy ztratil na 15 minut, některé požadavky zapomněl úplně. Některá jídla dobrá, jiná velmi průměrná. Za tu nadstandardní cenu to rozhodně nestojí.

Due to extreme staff shortages on Ugljan, this is likely to be the only open restaurant north of Preko if visiting during low season. The service and atmosphere definitely outshone the food. The team was extraordinarily welcoming and professional. There was no sense of us being unwelcome as non-members (this restaurant is within a fancy marina clubhouse). The menu makes a good impression but the execution let it down: the pizzas were absurdly salty and there were no lighter options appropriate to hot weather.

It's a real shame that excellent food and service can be ruined by absolutely awful atmosphere. Make no mistake, the staff and chefs are wonderful, and the food is fantastic - they're the only reason I didn't hate my dinner, and the only reason I come back every so often. I'm not sure if it's incompetence, tone-deafness, or simply nobody cares. Last year, we celebrated 3 family birthdays with a dinner was absolutely ruined towards the end, when the restaurant decided it was appropriate to play "Dust In The Wind" by Kansas, amongst other tasteless music that doesn't belong in a restaurant... Absolutely depressing, we all just sat there staring at each other and I got so anxious I got up and left. Was the soundtrack designed by a teenager suffering from clinical depression? Or someone who simply doesn't understand music and atmosphere? Or is this intentional? Last night, I brought a visiting friend to dinner, and again, right toward the end of an excellent meal, again with that same depressing song from Kansas. The whole dining room developed an awkward silence. The music has no cohesion, jumping from various genres, playing inappropriate music. It's jarring and amateurish. In over 10 years, I can count with both hands, the amount of meals ruined by terrible, depressing music here. Just awful. Good thing we didn't bring cigars for our post-meal and simply paid and went home to drink and smoke. It seems most cafes and restaurants here suffer from clinical depression, or that typical Balkan view of "it's just background noise". Wrong. It's atmosphere... Well, it's a complete lack of it. Even more sinister, people in this country generally seem to enjoy bringing those around them down. So I'm not sure if this is malice or simple ineptitude. Have you never heard of jazz? Bossa nova? Classical guitar? Downtempo? Any number of appropriate musical genres in the last 100 years that are emotionally neutral? Also, you printed your menus crooked, but I guess that's in keeping with the general theme of management and their attention to detail.
