Best restaurant in Hvar! The food is so fresh and delicious, anyone who doesn’t visit this place is truly just missing out. The staff members are so friendly, and the owner just mingles with the guests. I personally loved the grilled prawns risotto. The grilled calamari and fish were also wonderful. You must try the fish soup too! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Glad we found you early in our holiday. PS Make sure to have the desserts!

Wir haben 3x hier mittags gegessen und wurden vom ersten Tag an sehr herzlich empfangen und bedient. Die Gastgeber sprachen gut deutsch und waren sehr an einem Austausch interessiert. Das Fleisch vom Grill war von sehr guter Qualität und ausgezeichnet gegrillt. Auch die Beilagen waren mit Liebe zubereitet. Sehr sehr gerne beim nächsten Besuch auf Hvar werden wir hier wieder einkehren.

This is the best food I’ve had in all of Croatia. Small family owned restaurant with amazing fresh seafood options. We asked for a recommendation of what to get and the owner said everything was good.. let me tell you he wasn’t wrong. We order the grilled octopus, muscles, black risotto, seafood pasta, and best of all the white fish. The owners were very kind and you can tell they love what they do. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

The Lungo Mare lamb was cooked to perfection, juicy, fatty, tender, Smokey. We could see the methods of cooking as they cooked nearly in front of us, positioning their grill station outside of the main kitchen. The lamb was simply marinaded with sage and honey, having a sweet, caramelised taste on the crust. On the plate there were cheese croquettes and bacon wrapped beans, which were a confused addition, but nonetheless, they added depth. The Pasticada, a Dalmatian cuisine specialty was a hearty combination of ingredients. It is a braised beef, slow cooked, served with a homemade gnocchi. The gnocchi was very fresh and soft with a soothing, potatoey, melting in the mouth texture. This paired well with the sweet, salty, sour slowly cooked, rich sauce. The beef was slightly overcooked, being a little dry, but still having delicious aromas from the sauce.

Food is incredible. Staff are incredible. If you want a real experience go there. The main town is beautiful and worth going. But spend 10 mins walking to here and get some reasonably priced beautiful food

A family restaurant with a serene local village ambience. Seems like parents are chefs and the son is the server. The food is just amazing with a nice view of the sea and what I liked the most is the hospitality. The great smile. They even gave me a shot of limoncello on the house. Just speechless experience

Nous avons dîné au Lungo Mare hier soir et sommes ravis d'avoir trouvé ce petit écrin de tranquilité éloigné du port de Hvar et son animation. Nous avions hâte de goûter à des plats traditionnel et n'avons pas été déçus par la cuisine maison et copieuse ! Nous avons été bien conseillé sur le vin à choisir pour accompagner les mets, avons même pu profiter d'une rillette de poisson et de shots de liqueur de cerise offerts. Les serveurs se sont montrés attentifs et chaleureux. Bref, n'hésitez pas ✨️

We ate at Lungo Mare whilst we were here on holiday and it was so good we had to come back again. It feels authentic here both in food and atmosphere. The fish was delicious, as was the lamb, ingredients tasted fresh and good quality. Staff are also very friendly. Defo worth a visit, I’d say reasonably priced and better value than a lot of Hvar restaurants.

Very traditional feeling place. Full of Croatians and recommended to me by a Croatian as well. Food was very good, prices similar to everywhere else. I’ve read here that it’s a family business so that’s nice. The Caramel cream dessert was perfect. And I had the chicken with zucchini risotto and I loved it.

Traditional family run Croatian restaurant - UNREAL FOOD! Photos do not do these flavours justice! Went here today for lunch and was astounded at how fresh, delicious yet simple the food was at this restaurant. I’m Croatian so am a tough critic! Staff are so friendly and offered recommendations- thanks Mirko!. We had a lovely lunch of the Octopus salad and Marco Polo pasta. Will be coming back here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The most fantastic meal we had in Croatia. Wonderful ambiance - lots of locals and very authentic feel. The fish and seafood was all so fresh and cooked beautifully, especially the prawns!! My son has restrictive dietary requirements and they were incredibly sensitive and patient. We'd love to come again if we weren't leaving Hvar tomorrow!

Update August 2024: We’ve been coming for several years to Hvar every summer and every time we just HAVE TO come back here at least 2-3 times per stay. Family owned restaurant with a nice and warm atmosphere and great service. When it comes to the food just have your pick. I think by now we’ve ordered everything on the menu and was delicious every time. Grilled squid is a personal favourite. 10/10 will come back every chance we get!!
