Konoba Baiso, posjetio sam konobu s dugom tradicijom i ljubaznim domaćinima Baiso. Gostoprimstvo, hrana, vino i usluga su na najvišoj razini, sve je vrhunsko... Basta je izuzetno čista i uredna, sve pohvale za osoblje i voditelja, Antu. Hrana, pogled, piće i odmor vrijede posjetiti konobu...

This was a recommendation from our hotel concierge and it did not disappoint. I wanted something outside of the busy area. This was a 15 minute drive from my hotel (Meridian Split) in the mountains which gave for such a beautiful sunset view during dinner. The fish was very fresh and the seafood recommendations were great. The octopus salad was really my favorite. Important note is that Ubers will drop you off there but won’t pick you up so either drive or the restaurant is kind enough to call you a taxi at the end of your meal (at your expense of course). I will most definitely return here.

We had a lunch for 10 at Konoba Basjo. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good, barring very oily fries. There were enough vegetarian options for those in the group who are vegetarian. All in all it was a good experience which I would repeat.

Nicht unbedingt der richtige Ort für Touristen: Einheimische gehen gerne dorthin, jedoch sagen die auch, dass es eine separate Karte für Touristen gibt (nicht soviel Auswahl und deutlich teurer als für Einheimische, teilweise bis zu 70%). Das Essen war ok (kleines Steak mit Pommes ohne Salat 33 € + Getränke), die Bedienung nett, die Lokalität hat innen auf der unteren Ebene viel Kolorit, der mir sehr gefiel (wenn auch nicht in Benutzung). Das Restaurant ist nicht einfach zu finden, der Weg erfordert von Fahren ein gewisses Können und die sollten auf der Rückfahrt möglichst nüchtern sein ;-) Wenn das Restaurant zu 50% ausgelastet ist, gibt es keine Parkplätze mehr. Ich hatte während meines Aufenthalts das Glück, dass ein kroatischer Männerchor mit Akkordeon stundenlang eine gute Stimmung verbreitete :-) Alles in allem musste ich aber feststellen: nicht unbedingt der richtige Ort für Touristen. Eigentlich schade, dennoch ich habe Verständnis dafür, dass es wohl ein Ort für Kroaten sein soll ...

The best local experience ever! The drive is a little tricky but what awaits you is fantastic. I accidentally found them on google and gave it a try. Tomo, one of the staff has an exceptional service. The food is beyond what i expected for and the dessert, you should not miss it!! Also, you have to meet Eros!! Find out who he is😊 I ordered something out of the menu. I like meat and i haven’t had one since i arrived here so i asked if i can do the all meat and Tomo kindly said i can make one for you. What’s great about then is you can book online. I am a tourist so i only have a wifi to go around the country and can’t make any calls..

Given the steep altitude and narrow streets, I highly recommend arranging an Uber to avoid parking stress—trust me, the journey is worth it. The Setting Perched at 260 meters, the restaurant offers panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and surrounding islands. While the vista is stunning at any time, sunset transforms it into something magical. The layout is equally impressive: a charming stone walkway leads to a spacious outdoor dining area for groups, a cozy rustic interior for cooler evenings, a poolside terrace, and a traditional open-fire cooking zone where they prepare Peka (a Dalmatian method of slow-cooking meat and vegetables under a bell-shaped lid over embers). The Food & Service Call ahead to preorder **Special Offer dishes** like Octopus Peka, Roasted Lamb, or traditional Dalmatian Peka—these require advance preparation but are *worth the wait*. Our server, Anjela, elevated the experience with her warmth and expertise. She guided us to standout dishes like the Dalmatian prosciutto & cheese platter, Beetroot Carpaccio, Stuffed Ram Steak, and flawlessly grilled Veal and Lamb Chops. The drink selection impressed too: Croatian wines, local beers, and expertly crafted cocktails (the Espresso Martini was a group favorite). Unexpected Delights - We met Michael, a friendly local splitting his time between Croatia and Slovenia, and his dog Millie. He graciously gave us a historical tour of the town behind the restaurant. - The owner was hands-on, working diligently on the property as we dined. - Michael even showed us his home, built from the iconic white stone of Brač Island (fun fact: this stone was used in the White House!). - A resident Dalmatian dog “patrolled” the town, adding to the charm. Final Thoughts Despite closing time approaching, the staff never rushed us, letting us savor every moment. Every detail—from the food to the hospitality—felt thoughtfully curated. An unforgettable experience for special occasions!

We booked the terrace at Konoba Bajso, and we were thoroughly impressed. The gentleman we coordinated the food and services with was incredibly polite and helpful, even assisting with some extra arrangements. The venue boasts one of the most stunning views in this part of Dalmatia. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, complemented by top-notch service. Our entire event was executed flawlessly, and I wholeheartedly recommend Konoba Bajso for any occasion.... it's truly worth it
