A visit to the Blue Doors restaurant in Starigrad on Hvar left a great impression on us. We were especially delighted by the gregada - perfectly prepared, with extremely fresh fish and aromatic spices. As a dessert, the mango cake was a real surprise: light, creamy and the ideal ending to a Mediterranean lunch. In addition to excellent food, we emphasize excellent service - the staff was extremely friendly, professional and attentive. With an atmosphere that exudes the charm of the old town center and the possibility of sitting outdoors, Blue Doors has become our favorite for a relaxed meal on Hvar. We recommend it to everyone who is looking for a high level of gastronomic experience and service!

This restaurant is a real gem and truly stands out in the area. It boasts a great location, warm and professional service, and a well-curated menu of food and wine to suit all tastes. Everything we tried was delicious — from the burrata salad and mussels buzara to the ceviche, scampi buzara, and gregada, a flavorful local fish dish. The grilled vegetables and mixed seafood platter were equally impressive. We also enjoyed the wines, each one pairing beautifully with the meal. The rustic decor and open-fire cooking added to the charm. A memorable experience — definitely one to return to.

Hvala divnom osoblju što nam je pronašlo mjesta za večerati iako nismo imali rezervaciju. Ljubazni Uroš je pružio zaista izvanredan servis. Dobili smo preporuke i pomoć pri odluci jela. Sve je preukusno bilo osim mog subjektivnog osjećaja da brancin nije bio svjež već zamrznut ili možda predugo u ledu stajao. Sve u svemu jelo je bilo preukusno. Porcije su idealne veličine. Supa je bila fenomenalna. Cijene su sasvim prihvatljive i u skladu sa kvalitetom.

Nous avons dîner avec réservation. Le Ribeye était beaucoup, beaucoup trop salée. Les moules trop salées et sèches. Les seveurd ont tenté de corriger avec gentillesse, mais le deuxième steak était bleu.

Hrana je jednostavno božanstvena, sočna i svježa, losos se rastapa u ustima, a triangles su priča za sebe. Mislim da sam Zeus ne bi znao reći što je bolje, kao da jedeš samo more. Odlično iskustvo za svakog gurmana!

Wow, the food was just wow. Hands down the best restaurant we have been in Stari Grad, the best buzzara mussels we have tried in Croatia in three years. Gregada is also a must try 😋

We had such a wonderful rime at the Blue Door, despite not having a booking the staff was so kind in accommodating us, and keeping the next table available for us! The isn't anything I would change about our experience. The food, wine and atmosphere made our evening very special. I wouldn't think twice abour recommending it

A great location with nice food. Croatian Fish Stew is a simple dish you can make at home but it was hearty and tasty. It's probably one for those slumming from the (super)yachts so make sure you book ahead as it's popular. Surprisingly the wine was more expensive here than at our hotel.

Unforgettable Dining at Blue Doors at Stari Grad island of Hvar.. Dining at Blue Doors was one of the most memorable culinary experiences we've ever had. Curated by one of the owners, Tadi, the menu was a flawless progression of flavors, from fresh mussels, vibrant ceviche, and perfectly seared tuna tataki, to delicate sea bass and beautifully grilled vegetables. The pairing of two exceptional Pošip wines elevated each course, highlighting the restaurant’s deep understanding of balance and flavor. Dessert, a home made raspberry foam with forest fruit and vanilla cream , was light, refined, and the perfect finish. What truly made the evening exceptional were the owners, brothers Tadi and Igor. Their warmth, passion, and personal touch made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for. A must-visit on Hvar for anyone who loves fine food, great wine, and heartfelt hospitality.🥰🥰

This is a must-go when you're in Stari Grad but NOTE you do need a reservation!! They were turning walk-ins away because they were fully booked up (we were there during the summer). The food is so delicious and the service was amazing. Loved it!
