The portions are disbalanced, always a lot of carbs (rice, couscous) and then not enough sauce/ vegetables. Fancy names and descriptions, but the food doesn't match. Once I had an awful vegi carrot hot dog, which had an actual whole semi-raw carrot..

The concept of this new mensa is not that bad per se. The problem are: 1) prices are way too high compared to other uni mensas (you have to consider that most of the students don’t have a lot of money); 2) the amount of food that they put in the plates is generally little (take into account that around 15:00 you will be hungry); 3) if you want vegetables you have to pay additionally (this is their special way how to encourage vegetable consumption), 4) if you want more food on your plate, you have to pay. Generally I was way happier with the food trailer… however one must say that the dishes that cost the most (12.5 fr if I remember correctly, student price) are generally better than what you would expect in a mensa (hopefully! As they cost double!). The service there is also not really friendly (personal experience). Summary: if you have a lot of money you can eat decently and eat the amount that an adult normally eats. UPDATE from 01.02.24: guys! Crazy! Everything changed at Archimedes (some of my collegues say because of this review but I don’t think so). Anyway, now the food portions are bigger and adeguate for an adult human being and they give you also vegetables, included in the price. They also revisited the prices in general, they leveled the prices (which remain high though). But we have an improvement! Crazy!

Für das Gemüse (das bei der Polymensa inklusive wäre) muss man 2.40.- extra bezahlen. Ausserdem ist das Essen nicht wirklich gut und man findet kaum einen Platz, weil es so wenig Tische hat

Very small portions for the price. Adding a small amount of vegetables is overpriced and they also charge you extra if you see that your portion is small and request a little bit more. Only 2 of the menús are affordable for students, the rest are too expensive for an everyday meal. And these 2 menús are usually not enough, we all end up hungry after eating. Really bad. The restaurant is nice looking but there is never enough space to eat there between 12-1pm, so we always need to get the food to take away.
