Was recommended by a friend to try Bobs Tyres. Had new rear tyre fitted and only a few weeks later it failed its MOT due to rear wheel alignment out???? Had only covered 200 miles. Certainly not second to none service if wheel refitted so far out to fail an MOT. Once bitten twice shy.

Had my bike for 15 days for a 2 day service, I had an oil change, fork seals and valves checked. The job was taking much longer than expected so when I called them, they basically bit my head off and said what did I want them to do, my bike is in a thousand pieces. About an hour later Bob called me back to explain the situation in a calmer way, but I received no apology. Whilst checking the valve gaps the chain guide was broken, this was a white plastic part that had yellowed with passage of time, except the part where the clean break was which was almost pristine white. He blamed this for likely being the cause of the historical engine noise. My bike was in pieces and I didn't argue as I just wanted it back. The fork seals failed an MOT a thousand miles later and it was also found that the fork guide bushes should also of been replaced. I asked what oil had been put in the bike and he couldn't tell me and the receipt I was given did not mention fully the work that was carried out. After 3 thousand miles I've decided to change the oil only to find that the oil sump plug has been destroyed and even worse the oil filter has been put on with so much force that I cannot remove it even with a tool. Thanks Bob. I don't feel that they were competent to carry out the work I requested and prior to taking on the job I asked if working on my particular bike was going to be ok.
