There is a tail that goes around the lake, I've done it and it is around 23km long. Not many people go all the way around so some parts may be a little bit overgrown because of lack of use, but nothing you can't go thru. People who say that the tail is hard or not safe probably didn't even have proper hiking gear. The first section of the trail is well maintained and you can probably go in regular shoes, but if you are planning to go all the way around I recommend having hiking boots or approach shoes for hiking. The trail itself is not hard and for the most part is flat and even, with only a few uphill and downhill sections, but it is looong 😅 After rain there could be a few puddles and some mud so it can be a bit slippery, but tail is wide enough that you can go around the puddles. You can swim in the lake during the summer. Anyways, a really fun trail. You can do just a par of the trail and come back the same way, or do full round trip around the lake.
