Pop's Pizza
Pop's Pizza je bil ustanovljen leta 2019 in predstavlja najboljšo reprezentacijo "Pizza Napoletana" izven Italije, čeprav se zgodba začne že nekaj let prej. Pregledali smo ulice stare Napoli in se naučili vse trike za pravo "Pizza Napoletana". Medtem ko radi eksperimentiramo s različnimi tehnikami, se držimo načel tradicionalne neapeljske izdelave pice, kot jih predpisuje združenje Verace Pizza Napoletana. Ljudje nas sprašujejo, kaj naredi pravo "Pizza Napoletana", in radi rečemo, da "veš, ko jo vidiš". Naše pice predstavljajo najboljše iz Naplija, spoštujoč njegova dolga leta zgodovine, hkrati pa uporabljamo moderne tehnike in kombinacije sestavin, ki vas bodo presenetile. Vsak dan začnemo z izdelavo našega "impasta" s pomočjo najboljše italijanske moke. Nato testo fermentiramo do dva dni z uporabo lastnega naravnega kvasa, ki ga skrbno varujemo. Uporabljamo le najboljše kombinacije regionalnih italijanskih sestavin za izdelavo nepozabne pice.

The pizza in this place is great, but can’t say the same for the service. You enter the door and you almost fall inside of the kitchen, so naturally you walk further to the bar, where the waiter starts aggressively telling you that you need to wait to be seated. Where exactly are we supposed to wait for that? We were 5 people with a young child, should we wait outside the front door in the cold? The reception system obviously doesn’t work, and the waiters are not offering a solution but are instead turning you away and not in a polite way either. This is not the first time this happened to us, but after today we surely won’t be coming back. Plenty of other good pizza restaurants in the city, with much better service.

The level of service I received at a local pizza establishment was disappointing and below the expected standards. During my visit with friends, we ordered three pizzas and a salad. Upon the arrival of our order, the pizzas were not cut, which was acceptable. However, while attempting to slice the pizza, one of the waiters notified us that we had been given the wrong pizza. We offered to return it, but the waiter insisted that we keep it and offered it free of charge. As we continued with our meal, the manager abruptly approached our table and inquired about the wrong pizza. We confirmed having received it, and the manager swiftly removed it from our table. I later approached the manager to discuss the matter, but he was unprofessional and unaccommodating. Our negative experience at this pizza establishment left us feeling disappointed and unwelcome. Furthermore, upon commenting about the ordeal on their social media platform, we were blocked, and our comments were disregarded. This further exacerbated our negative experience.

Me and my friends went there last weekend and we ordered three pizzas, a salad, a pasta and some drinks which they were delivered wrongly. Then we were told by the waiter that these wrong pizza is free for us since the restaurant has made a mistake. However, in the middle of our meal, manager of the restaurant came angrily and asked “are we having the wrong pizza?”, after saying yes, he just took away the pizza where we were still eating without saying anything or any room for us to explain to situation. The attitude of manager was very impolite and rude which is unacceptable. 15 minutes later, He came with two tiramisu, saying his attitude was rude and give us a tiramisu without any apology. Not saying the attitude of all staff were rude, we were being ignored for at least 10 minutes after entering the restaurant, waiting to be severed. I was standing in front of their open oven where facing the front door, and NO staff approached me even they passed by me several times until I approached them again. Later, a Slovenian couple came in and was offered a table, I feel discriminated and being racist by them just because I’m an Asian. Apart from these, all our pizza are not sliced up when it arrived, so we went to borrow a slicer, when we were about to cut the pizza, one of their waiters came up and said “ are you done yet? I need to use it!” ridiculous! TOP 50 pizza? Nah! Worst restaurant experience in my life!

I come here every year with a big group and the service is always great. The staff is lovely and really makes you feel at home. Of course the pizza's are great too! See you guys next year!
