Everyone was nice they had good teachers and students and they wouldn't give up on you learn and it was and there was always someone for you to talk to if there was something wrong it was safe also

I had two children at different ages and different years attend this school. There were a lot of changes between the years as well. I'll start with the two things I didn't like: in the school year 2012-2013 my son was in 3rd grade. He has ADHD bad, and I do mean bad, I felt that the teacher wasn't equipt to handle what was necessary for my child to be successful. My daughter attended the 2nd grade there during the 2013-2014 school year and the only complaint I have is that the amount of homework she received was minimal and the communication regarding some activities and grades could have been better. For example, I never received an interm report and it was up to me to check her grades regularly. I was able to check them but didn't always remember to. In addition, the students didn't get any recess time which in my opinion is necessary, especially for children like my son who has a lot of extra energy to burn. On a positive note I am over all pleased with the teachers and the activities that the school has. They also encourage parent involvement which I love. This year with the new common core all the schools standards are the same, but even last year the schools academic expectations were above and beyond (much to my liking). If my children aren't being challenged then they aren't learning so I'm glad that the school raised the bar.
