So… just got back from the paradise…We often travel and meet many kind people and good service. This time it was the same, but there was something else that made us fall in love with the island and with Irina and John, the owners of the villa. They touched us to tears: in addition to high-quality service, cleanliness at the villa, they turned out to be such warm, kind and close people to us that we definitely want to come back. John took us fishing, treated us to bread of his own production, Irina told us to use everything that grows there: bay leaf, dates, rosemary, cilantro, mint, onions and much more... suggested using their SUP board at sea , John organized mussels for us, because they were not sold on the island at that time. They told us everything that is on the island and where we can go for emotions. And the terrace, the view of the sea and sunsets are a separate story. We already miss it. The sea is two minutes away, bars, restaurants and a market in the village are within walking distance. We first rested in Opatija (3 days), we liked it, but the fact that we decided to continue 7 days on the island was the best choice for us. We did not want to leave the villa… We took an apartment with 3 bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a simply amazing terrace. It is clear that in the future we will definitely return there with salo and ukrainian vodka 😇 A beach you didn't want to leave, a sea you didn't want to get out of, an island you didn't want to leave, people you didn't want to part with... a villa you wanted to stay and live on... It was one of the most emotional, bright and comfortable trips in our life. We'll definitely come back🥰 Thank you, Irina and John, for the gift of days❤️
We had a brilliant stay here. John and Irina were friendly but not intrusive. The apartment was well priced and a 5 min walk down some steps to the sea. They loaned us a paddleboard which we enjoyed. John taught my 10 year old daughter to bake a different type of bread, which she loved. The hot tub and pool were spotless and it’s a walk to restaurants in Splitska or short drive to Postira for more choice. Highly recommend and I’m sure we will be back.
This is a lovely family run apartment a few minutes walk up the hill from the bay at Splitska. We stayed in the 2 bedroom part, there is also a 1 bedroom as well. The apartment is excellently maintained and well-appointed (you can tell John is a chef by how the kitchen is appointed). The hot tub and the pool are clean and well maintained. There is a view from the balcony back towards the main Croatian coast.||John and Irena are lovely hosts and certainly went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. They had excellent hints ant tips about the local area.||To make the most of this place a car is advisable. Getting the Ferry across from Spilt was straightforward and it’s a 15 drive from there. Some of the roads in smaller villages and towns are tight and unfinished so you need to be confident in a bigger vehicle!||There are three restaurants in Spiltzka and numerous more in the neighbouring town of Supetar and villages (eg Postira). We had good food at most places (mains ranging from €12 for pizza/pasta to €25-30 for steak.
