Design and Structure
Developed through a collaborative effort between Ponting and the Ljubljana-based architectural bureau Arhitektura, the design clinched first place in a competitive tendering process held in 2013. The bridge showcases a slender single-span steel design, marked by its innovative engineering and aesthetic appeal. With an impressive length of 25 meters, the bridge features a box-shaped girder that measures only 50 cm in depth, ensuring minimal visual obstruction while providing robust structural support.

Construction Details
The engineering prowess is evident in the bridge's construction, which employs a prefabricated segmental approach. The structural foundation consists of deep integrated foundations supported by bored reinforced concrete (RC) piles with a diameter of 1 meter. This advanced foundation technique ensures durability and longevity amidst varying environmental conditions.

The project was conducted in partnership with architect Peter Gabrijelčič and was executed by the contractor Makro 5 in collaboration with Metalia. Ponte pedonale moderno, inaugurato il 12 ottobre del 2014, grazie al suo profilo stretto e slanciato ma soprattutto ai parapetti in vetro, consente di scattare ottime foto al Tiploponte ed al fiume Ljubljanica. Sotto ad esso, nel fiume, passano canoe, sup e battelli turistici che offrono l'opportunità di visitare il centro storico con le sue pittoresche facciate da una prospettiva diversa. Lubiana è la città dai tanti ponti, probabilmente il primo dei quali fu costruito dagli antichi Romani.

Μία πολύ όμορφη γυάλινη γέφυρα με φοβερή θέα προς το κάστρο της λουμπλιάνας και προς τις τρεις γέφυρες. Εκπληκτικά φωτισμένη κυρίως το βράδυ. Βρίσκεται ανάμεσα σε πολλά καφέ, μπαρ και εστιατόρια.
