Poker tournaments seem to be completely rigged for tourists. I got that feeling when i visited place exactly month ago. No offense, i'm not here to criticize , but to warn others about the place and to share my experience and I think that anybody with basic knowledge of how poker tournaments work will agree with my point. We were there at friday evening, basic tournament 19:00, if i remember correctly buyin was something like 55€ which was pretty reasonable for the guaranteed amount of money. I paid the buyin around 19:10 , from registry I was sent to floor (to poker manager basically) to be seated so I can start to play. By the floor guy I was told that only 2 tables were open so that I have to wait for somebody to be eliminated from the tournament so that I can be seated onto his place and that it should take only 10-15 mins probably (complete nonsense). Here I will stop and mention what needs to be mentioned. Waiting for somebody to be eliminated from tournament to take his place makes no sense. Normal procedure in Every casino in the world is following : floor guy chooses 2-3 shortest stack persons from each open tables and moves them to a new table (the game doesn't have to be paused) , new table is opened and new guy with buyin should be let to play ASAP. In my situation, I waited from 19:10 till I was finally seated around 20:23. Again, player with buyin ticket in his hand needs to be gives stack and he should be able to play as soon as possible. In this more than hour time, blinds went up as levels went up, unacceptable. Not to mention the amateur dealer because after my first rebuy, I received stack that consisted of 5x5000 chips, when I was in the hand, I raised something around 1600 with my 5000 chip and i received 4400 change back which never ever happened before in any casino and the guy didnt even realised. Seriously, with this location, with this many tourists, you guys would've been able to make shit ton of money if you arranged proper poker tournaments because there isn't much competition in terms of live poker in Split. These examples of mine just shows carelesness of the poker staff scamming his boss of potential customers. Anyway the casino was clean, bar had a huge offer of drinks but thats it.

They require physical IDs. Our UK driving license was not accepted only passports. Just a heads up for anyone heading to this place. It looked pretty dead inside in fairness, couldn't see any dealers but hey maybe they would've appeared.
