Our experience with AM Marketing was deeply disappointing and raised serious concerns about their SEO practices. Although they position themselves as a white-hat agency, we found they were building irrelevant, low-quality backlinks that had no connection to our industry. One link, for example, was buried in an article about molecular cuisine (we are a hotel) and surrounded by unrelated spammy mentions like automatic gates in Tennessee, windshield repairs, and truck insurance, only to include our business name awkwardly at the end. Many links came from link farms with zero domain authority, thousands of outbound links, and no topical relevance, exactly the kind of SEO tactics that can do lasting harm. When we raised these issues, they refused to address the specific links we flagged, instead deflecting with unrelated metrics from alternative tools. There was no transparency, no accountability, and a clear unwillingness to engage with honest feedback. To make matters worse, communication went completely silent for over a week, no responses, no explanation, no clarity on who was acquiring these links or how. This lack of transparency and responsiveness eroded our trust entirely. After further research, we noticed a troubling pattern in their public replies to other critical reviews in Trustpilot: rather than taking responsibility, they often dismiss concerns by accusing clients of impatience or short-term thinking. In our case, this wasn’t about rushing results, it was about ethics, clear communication, and protecting our online reputation. We ultimately ended our contract out of concern that continued involvement could harm our business. If you value ethical SEO, clear reporting, and a team that takes ownership of its work, we strongly suggest you look elsewhere. P.S. If you’re reading this and considering their response, take note of the pattern. Deflection, not accountability, is part of the playbook. Also, after months of not getting reviews on Truspilot and after we published ours, they got two new reviews, 1 day appart, I am sure they just tried to deflect the attention from our review. As I said, dirty tactics.
