Our guesthouse features 15 uniquely designed rooms, ensuring that each accommodation offers a distinct atmosphere. Many rooms provide stunning views of the city, the historic castle, or the river, while others face the serene courtyard. Some rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, and others have shared facilities, but all are intended to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Location
VIKSI City Hostel is situated in the pedestrian zone of the vibrant center of Ljubljana, housed in an 18th-century historic building. While the building lacks an elevator, the breathtaking views from select rooms of the river and the old castle more than compensate for this. You’ll be in close proximity to the essence of the old city, with all prominent landmarks, cafes, restaurants, and bars just a short walk away.

Our location puts you within walking distance of all the main attractions in the old town, including a beautiful promenade and the ancient Ljubljana Castle.
Check-In and Facilities
Guests can check in anytime after 3:00 PM and must check out by 10:00 AM. Our hostel operates on a self check-in and self check-out basis, ensuring ease and convenience for our guests. While there is no staff on-site, we remain readily available via phone and can assist if necessary.
You are welcome to prepare your meals in our shared kitchen, which is fully equipped for your culinary needs. Additionally, enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the house, and should you require space to store your luggage, we offer secure storage lockers in the hallway for your convenience.

Die Lage ist richtig gut, sehr zentral, direkt am Wasser. In der Nähe gibt es eine gute Kaffeebar direkt am Fluss, ringsum Restaurants und Bars. In die Innenstadt kommt man auch gut fußläufig hin. Das Hostel ist einfach gestrickt, selbstständiger check-in & check-out sehr praktisch. Geräumiges Zimmer und größeres geteiltes Badezimmer, welche sehr sauber waren.

Perfect location but it was so hot in my room I couldn't sleep despite the air con being on. At some point I opened the window at night and then the crazy heat dissipated. There should be a note about this because it was unbearable. At my floor there was only one shower available for 6 or 7 rooms, the other one not being usable and there was no note about this. I didn't spend a great night there but it should be better for other customers once the summer heat will end and the second shower will be fixed. Very clean room, nothing to complain about in this aspect.

Très grande chambre que nous avons pris. L'emplacement est vraiment parfait, situé le long du fleuve avec tous les restaurants et bar, dans la vie de la capitale. Nous sommes en totale autonomie. Serviettes et linge de lit sont fournis. Petit bémol, les sanitaires et la cuisine sont communs avec les autres locataires, ce qui peut engendrer une attente dans certains moments. Mais là cuisine est équipée de tout le nécessaire.

HORRIBLE STAY. The parking was very falsely advertised as convenient and close. We had so much trouble finding parking it was ridiculous. Then the streets surrounding the hostel need a special pass to enter so there was literally nowhere to stop to drop our bags. Then the top floor meant many flights of steps with our bagagge. So after searching for parking for over an hour, walking our bags in trips over 1 mile to the hostel, and then up and down all the steps, it literally wasted 3 hours of our evening, which was a short trip to Ljubjiana that I waited years to do. further, there was NO EMPLOYEE PRESENT THE ENTIRE 3 DAY STAY. some guys had an issue with their key and got locked INTO the hostel and WE HAD TO HELP THOSE GUESTS LATE AT NIGHT. and now, they are telling me I OWE THEM TAXES WHICH I HAVE NO PROBLEM PAYING BY CARD BUT THEY HAVE BEEN INSISTING IN A WIRE TRANSFER FROM MY BANK WHICH COSTS A VERY HIGH FEE. it's not my fault that they had no employee the entire trip at the hostel to collect the money and now I am being harassed by them through whatsapp and this app!!!!!

Viaje turismo. Pareja de 52 y 54 años. Lo mejor, la ubicación. Está en pleno centro. A 200m. del triple puente. El hostal es muy tranquilo y la habitación sencilla pero cómoda. Lo menos mejor. Tener los aseos fuera de la habitación. Pero no fue inconveniente. Consejo. Utilizar el servicio municipal de bicicletas. Un euro a la semana Hay una parada delante del hostal.

Horrible service. The owner called on the morning of our reservation to say the room was no longer available, and offered no compensation or alternative. Would avoid such an experience.

Riktigt bra placering i stan. Tyckte det var kul att hotellet var så mån om miljön. Det var dock rätt svårt att vädra ut fukt ur rummet och kuddarna var på tok för platta.

Very sweet good price compromise on shower and toilet as its shared. Room good and location is jack pot. Good 2 nights !!!

I have never been that disappointed…. Rooms were dirty (specially the toilets that was disgusting) the floor was damaged and the a/c was just loud but not cold…. I wanted to come back to Ljubljana but never in that pieces of mass….. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FOR US!

The location is really good, but the building from the outside looks way better, than the inside. The "hostel" is a few old rooms in the attic and therefore pretty hot in the summer. The doors are thin and slam very easily, so it can be pretty loud. For the price we will try a different accomodation next time.

The location was ideal. Close to the center and still accessible by car in case you have heavy luggage. The owners were lovely, helpful, and caring. They made sure everything was clean and ready and were quick to address any issues we had.

Bra läge och fint med ett ställe med tvättmaskin när man tågluffat ett tag. Stort kök så man kunde äta frukost bekvämt och laga lite mat. Det fanns två toaletter med dusch till 6 rum så det var aldrig någon kö. Smidigt med nyckelgömma för in- och utcheckning. Rummet var helt ok med skön säng. Många restauranger i närheten. i informationen fanns tips på var man kunde handla mat och några tips på restauranger.
