Well, I stayed here just for one day and I gave 5 ⭐ because I'm huge fan of exYu style hotels and things. This place is like a time capsule.

It was so scary driving up to this hotel. It’s in a very sketchy neighborhood and the hotel has a whole wing under partial demolition. The overall feeling was of them treating guests as students in a hostel or perhaps used as an “hourly hotel”. The furnishings were low quality dormitory style furniture. There was also a full page of rules guests had to follow which was very strange. The few good things were that the rooms were fairly clean, good air conditioning and our rooms had roomy balconies that faced the sea.

Hotel horrível, em ruínas, parte do hotel abandonado. Não há restauração e o bar fecha cedo. Terraço fechado como outras partes do hotel.Pequeno almoço fraco, comida preparada há dias e reaquecido, fruta queimada pelo frio do frigorífico, café de má qualidade, a maior parte dos funcionários antipáticos, sobretudo a senhora que está ao pequeno almoço, recolhe a loiça atirando tudo para o carrinho fazendo um barulho horrível. Falta de higiene enorme. O jardim abandonado, parque das crianças igual, tudo cheio de cocó,garrafas de cerveja no chão. Janelas partidas. Baratas, sem caixote do lixo no quarto. Desaconselhável, sobretudo para famílias. Quarto apenas aspirado, alcatifa suja, até no corredor. A fugir e nunca mais voltar

Quel horreur !! Hôtel qui fait peur , façade délabré, jardin et terrasse à l’abandon , on y voit personne, bar fermé, couloir sombre , chambre rien de plus banal avec un décor très ancien , mur sale et salle de bain vieillotte et très petite , photos mensongères , passer votre chemin

The only time I stayed in the hotel it was for 2 nights but those were superb. Personally, I love the old Yugo chic and if the hotel would've been renovated, it would be a true gem and much more expensive. The location is good - away from all the chaos of Split. Free parking was available. The staff is one of the friendliest I have encountered down the coast. The rooms are simple, yet clean and offer AC. The buffet breakfast was lovely with quite extended offer of both retro choices such as fried hot dogs and savory French toast to more 'current' choices such as different kinds of oatmeal, fruit and yoghurt. Overall, would come back again for sure. Ps. Haven't checked the beaches or other things the hotel had to offer.

Even though the hotel has a nice view of the sea and it looks ok, it still looks 70s style and on some areas the windows haven’t been changed since then. The rooms look good, but a little plain. Entire hotel could be modernised so it could look cleaner, more modern and welcoming for guests, automated and sustainable. It would be good if a reflective roof gets installed which would reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it which would reduce the temperature of the roof’s surface and minimise heat transfer into the building which would also minimise the need for air conditioning reducing both carbon footprints and energy bills. The parking lot could also be refreshed with new pavement, lighting and EV chargers can be added.

Hotel Zagreb is Yugoslav era heritage hotel. Made in tipical elegant marble, wood and glass style within, and pine forest, beaches and big teraces outside. Very friendly staff and much more than 3 stars. Only reason why its 2 stars is because Croatia's new law obligates min 18 square meters rooms and Zagreb has 17,5 square meter rooms. Best 2 stars in the world. Hopefully soon Croatia recognizes, renovates and cherishes this beautiful Yugoslav era heritage hotel.
