Beware, this hotel is nothing like it looks on the photos. The swimming pool is tiny and is more of a large, cold paddling pool. The sun beds (which you have to book) are packed together like sardines and the pool bar is extremely tacky. We arrived and were so disappointed that we actually booked another hotel in a different location. Non refundable booking and I’m writing this review to warn others that what looks like a luxury resort on the photos couldn’t be further from the truth. The high price suggests something much more luxurious than the reality. Avoid at all costs!

Not a 4 star hotel. The building looks like a 4 star hotel, but the service was that of a 3 star hotel. They charge to use the sun beds. If I’m staying at a 4 star hotel, I expect to be able to use the sun beds at no charge. The front door is understaffed and the parking is small so at times we couldn’t fine a spot and had to wait until the only person at the front desk could come over to help us.

Not a 4 star hotel. A lot of potential, overall great rooms, views, bar, friendly staff. But full of random issues: shower water changed hot to ice cold, check-in counter understaffed, not enough parking (parked cars blocking other cars), paying to reserve lounge in pool “cash ONLY” but then that same pool bar is “credit card ONLY” (?) - random. Breakfast was good but felt like sardines squeezed on a cruise ship. This hotel is beautiful but could use some consulting services to take it to the next level. OVERALL: I would avoid and go elsewhere but Cavtat is a nice town

BE AWARE !! To all of you who are trying to have a nice vacation and relax in beautiful Croatia and beautiful gem Cavtat I wanted to take time and write my not-so-great experience in this hotel. I will start with their stubborn policy of not being able to accommodate change of dates or a refund AT ALL. In this era and year 2025 this hotel runs by firm policy of not accommodating and change. I have made genuine mistake and book my vacation on the wrong date( paid around1000 USD) Few minutes later I booked again and paid close to 3000 USD for me and my family to have a nice vacation. I have called expedia to cancel or swap my dates but than the nightmare started : They told me they can not do anything since hotel is standing firmly on their policy. Once I arrived there a manager was kind enough to talk to us and said he will see what he can do. Since than I sent numerous emails but have received no response. They robbed me without a gun!! This hotel should have 3 stars at its best. Rooms are small, showers are leaking making the whole bathroom flood and than the most bisare part - YOU HAVE to PAY additionally sun bed if you want to go to their pool. Breakfast was very mediocre. My mom was in a room next to reception and she smelled the sewer all the time. Please think twice before you make decisions. Save your money because the price doesn't match te service. For managers : please don't write back saying that you are sorry for my experience. Work on your policy and fix the way you operate. O.

Just returned from a one week stay at Hotel Cavtat. The hotel is modern and very clean. The staff are super friendly. If you book a full sea view room the views out to sea will blow you away. We opted for B and B as there are so many nice restaurants within walking distance to try. The Breakfast offering was fantastic with lots of choice. We also had very nice pizza's at the pool bar. The sun bed reservation system works brilliantly as removes any stress of trying to get one, we had no problem booking one every day and using the voucher for a cold beer. The pool is small but ideal for cooling off again with fabulous views. It could be a little warmer though as at the start of the week it was freezing. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely consider returning.

Having stayed in nany hotels in nany countries Ive never stayed in such a small room. If you stay here you MUST request a large room. This I would class as a single & only one space for clothes but for one abd my dresses wouldn't fit the depth so had to leave the door open. I asked if we could change the room with a no we are full. Fridge broke on day 2 . We reported it and saw nobody . The breakfast is quite good and evening meal was just about acceptable.|Facing a brick wall for a week was only acceptable by staying out as long as possible. |The plus side, location is the best and the aircon was good .

Hotel Cavtat is the perfect place to stay. The beautiful rooms with views to die for are the most comfortable of any hotel I've stayed in.|There is nothing the staff won't do for you and the hotel is placed within easy/quick walking distance of the main harbour. The roof top pool is gorgeous as are the views from up there.|But what really made my holiday even better was the on site Lavanda Beauty and Massage Salon run by Vinko and his wife. He is a master of massage and the facial I had by his wife was very luxurious. What a bonus to have this great beauty service on site.|You must try this hotel for both the genuinel Croatian hospitality and for the wonderful self care provided by Lavanda Beauty.

The 1- star rating is because of the receptionist guy - Dario who is extremely rude. He certainly knows nothing about hospitality. He needs proper training. He seems very frustrated to service guests - maybe he wishes he was a guest and not the worker. ||The hotel rooms are very nice and airy with sea views. No fault at all. However, unlike most establishments, they don’t provide irons in the room. They charge for it. ||I had to make a quick decision to enjoy myself during my stay and not allow the rudeness of one frustrated staff member to affect me. It’s such a beautiful palace to not enjoy.||The charge for sunbeds and you have to make a booking. I didn't bother because you can enjoy yourself at the beach.

Hôtel très bien situé. bien situé à Cavtat et facile d'accès vers Dubrovnik (par bateaux, bus ou uber)|Juste un caractère un peu impersonnel et, à titre personnel, les décorations (oeuvres d'art) modernes ne sont pas à mon goût . |Excellents petits déjeuners. La situation est parfaite pour visiter Dubrovnik. La proximité de l'aéroport n'est pas une difficulté car les chambre sont bien insonorisées

The 1 - star rating is because of the guy called Dario who works at the reception. He is extremely rude and needs proper training . He knows nothing about hospitality. He seems frustrated to serve guests, as if he wishes he was a guest and not a worker at this hotel. The hotel itself has beautiful rooms - I can’t fault them. However: 1. No complimentary bottled water in the rooms 2. No iron - you must pay as an extra service 3. You must pay for pool sunbeds 4. Pool is closes at 8pm. I decided to enjoy myself because I was there for only 2-nights and it is a beautiful place and Cavtat itself is a cute little town.

We stayed for 1 night in June whilst on our way to the airport. The room with a view was just brilliant - really well done, lovely bathroom, balcony and views and most importantly really comfy bed ! |The rooftop pool area was just stunning......|Breakfast was really good with lots of choice.|Staff were incredibly professional, friendly, helpful and nice.|I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Cavtat and we will certainly stay again !|Thank you.

Great hotel with amazing sea views! The breakfast is so varied and good quality. It has access to the sea at the front although the sun loungers are expensive!

Stayed in Hotel Cavtat for 10 nights… this hotel is not suitable for anyone staying longer than a weekend. We had 2 suitcases and hand luggage. The rooms are tiny the smallest I’ve ever been in. The room we were given we hadn’t enough room to stand in the room and open our suitcases .. either the suitcase could be in the room or us but not both. There wasn’t even room for 2 lockers beside bed, only 1. There was wardrobe space to hang 4 days of clothes max. No storage. The fridge didn’t work. Housekeeping very hit and miss.. the room half made up, .. missing towels or tea etc. |Breakfast: Not enough staff, food & cups etc not replenished. Too many tables & chairs squeezed into a small space and no room to get in or out or around your table. People hitting off you or your table, trying to get around. Nothing relaxing about being in than space, in fact it was stressful. |The views are spectacular from the breakfast room, so at least you can look at that while you are waiting 10 minute for a cup, or some milk.|Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for a week in July while visiting Croatia and it was a lovely experience. |The rooms were clean, and the beds were really comfortable, which is something I usually struggle with. |All the staff we interacted with always said hello with a smile on their face, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast had a great selection and was really well cooked, very yummy! |Their poolside Lounger rule was really smart, ensuring no one was waking up early and putting their towels on the beds and it was never completely full! The pool itself was clean and had a stunning view of the harbour. ||The only negatives to our stay, and the reason this hotel doesn’t get 5 stars, the partial sea view room really was ‘partial’ which didn’t bother us as we spent very little time in the room but did feel misleading. The curtains weren’t quite wide enough for the window size, meaning lie ins were not doable and the shower temperature was temperamental. All easy fixes and not big enough issues to hinder our stay! ||All in all a fantastic option for staying in Cavtat!

Really appreciated the location and view - upgraded to suite so seperate sleeping space for child on sofa bed. ||Bathroom good and nice powerful shower. ||The aircon was quite noisy and not as powerful as I’d hoped. ||It didn’t feel like they had aircon in the breakfast room which was a shame as it meant was slightly less enjoyable breakfast. ||Staff friendly and helpful.

Hotel stinks like carpet freshener. If you open the window to try to air it, the weak aircon will cut out. Pool is about the same size as my room but must be using all the aircon to cool it as it was too arctic to sit in. Day bed booking system has people lined up like military school. Wandered down the road but the nearest hotel said their room was probably smaller and with no balcony. Flying out tomorrow and heard cavtat was good, but I miss my Rixos in Dubrovnik- sadly fully booked tonight, otherwise I’d forfeit this sham and get back there. I gave it a star for having a kettle (my hvar hotel didn’t) and another star for the view from my balcony - which I’m tempted to sleep on to get rid of this bouquet Garni room spray. AVOID IF ASTHMATIC. I’ll be dosing up on antihistamine tonight.

What a fantastic hotel, recently renovated the room was modern and well equipped. The housekeeper was very efficient at turning the room around everyday. The whole hotel was kept spotless. We were bed and breakfast, which on balance was the best option, plenty of excellent restaurants in the town. The choice at breakfast was very good, standard options as you would expect, the coffee was excellent! All staff were polite and helpful.|The pool area is small but we liked it, the infinity pool equally small but wow what view! A word of warning it is €5 per bed, for a session, each session ran from 08:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 20:00. Might seem steep but you can the spend a €5 voucher at the pool bar (total spend needs to be more than the voucher) this process worked well and we never missed out on getting a bed on any of the days. Certainly prevented the obligatory bed dash every morning. |Back to the bedroom, we had a partial sea view on floor B2, the vista was excellent despite the large tree, well worth the extra cost.|There is a separate restaurant called Tiha that belonged to the hotel, the service and food was amazing, we ate there twice, the views of the harbour / bay were super!|I’ve rated the hotel 5/5 however there were a couple of niggles, there was a big flat screen tv on the wall, excellent you might think but the sound from next door was not great, we could hear very clearly what they were watching and I don’t think it was because they were being inconsiderate, the walls are just too thin 👀 the final gripe was the aircon was a bit hit and miss, more hit but never the less when the temps outside are 35 you need it to hit all the time! |Overall what an amazing stay, so much so we want to visit again!

If you want a quieter place just a minute or so walk from Cavtat centre (bus station, marina, restaurants) this is for you. Gorgeous views across the bay and a lovely restaurant. Breakfast is fairly standard but nice, staff are generally very helpful. Cleaning staff could be a little more sympathetic. Clothes were moved to the table in a heap. Cushions not placed nicely .We have been to places where they lay out the night clothes in a fancy way, or even simply fold them. Either would have been nicer , but nothing major to grumble about. Generally, a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's immaculate and modern, and in a great location. The outdoor bar area is fantastic, with comfy seating, friendly staff and views of the sea. We did not use the pool so cannot comment on that, but directly outside the hotel you can swim in the sea which we did and it was lovely. Breakfast had so much variety. |There were a few negatives. Our room (314) was very small, it was fine for us as we only stayed 2 nights at the end of our trip to Croatia, but had we stayed longer, I think it would have bothered us. The air con was temperamental and the breakfast area in the mornings was so warm, there doesn't appear to be air con and it was uncomfortable to sit in. I would still recommend this hotel, mainly due to its location. |

We have stayed several times at this hotel pre Covid and thought it nice but after lockdown ended the hotel was fully booked so we went to the Croatia, which was good, we went there three times, but as we’re quite elderly we wanted somewhere flat so we returned to the Cavtat. |What a change. It’s under new ownership and has been completely transformed. The front terrace and restaurant are beautifully decorated. The furniture is attractive and comfortable, it’s a joy to use and gives the hotel a classy appearance.|Inside everything is new and modern. The staff are pleasant and helpful. |We booked an executive room on the 8th floor. The room is very spacious with a large sea view balcony. What a view, it’s fantastic. The room is minimalistic and we like that, a comfortable bed, plenty of storage. A lovely bathroom with walk in shower, all kept immaculate by the lovely Olga. Who we didn’t see much of but gave us a big hug on leaving. The only thing we didn’t like were the uncomfortable chairs on the balcony and the fact that there was only one easy chair in the room although there was plenty of space for two. |The hotel is within easy walking distance of bars ,restaurants , shops and swimming places. The hotel pool , which is small, has a booking system which seems to work. Whilst we never used it, it was never overcrowded. The system stops selfish people putting towels down in the morning and not using the beds until later in the day. My husband had a massage a couple of times and was very impressed.|We will be returning, in fact I’ve already booked for 2026.|A lovely hotel in every way.
