A bit of a climb and most views of the city are obstructed. The path from Prule is more steep, but shorter. Can also take the funicular. The castle inside is like any other... Not worth it if when it's too crowded.

Tivoli Castle is so interesting and its history is quite remarkable as well. In the mid-19th century, Tivoli Castle was bought by the Austrian emperor Francis Joseph I, who in 1852 presented it as a gift to the veteran Habsburg marshal Joseph Radetzky. Radetzky renovated the mansion in the Neoclassical style, giving it its present appearance, and spent much of his retirement in it with his wife Francisca von Strassoldo Grafenberg, a local Carniolan noblewoman.
