Католический собор Святого Георгия видно с площади Тартини. Чтобы подняться к нему, необходимо преодолеть небольшой подъем в гору. Но это того стоит! Смотровая площадка расположена в башне, за небольшую оплату.

Die Kirche des Heiligen Georg thront majestätisch über Piran und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Altstadt und das Meer. Der Aufstieg lohnt sich – die Aussicht vom Glockenturm ist spektakulär. Ein absolutes Muss für jeden Piran-Besucher!

A beautiful church in a beautiful location on a hill above Piran. The climb is neither long nor difficult and you can even do it with a stroller. The view is magnificent!

Für mich der schönste Ort in Piran! Zuerst hat man vom Plato der Kathedrale aus eine super Aussicht auf Stadt und Meer. Dann geht man über den Seiteneingang in das Gotteshaus und kann optional auch das Museum und den archäologisch entdeckten Vorbau des römischen Antike bestaunen. In die Kirche selbst konnten wir gratis und so lange wir wollten. Es lief stimmige Musik und die Einrichtung gefliel mir sehr gut. Besonders empfiehlt sich der Blick nach oben, an die sehr schöne Decke.
