I have been abusively charged 44 euros for a 'roadside assistance' insurance that I never agreed to take. The customer service doesn't answer, I contacted them one month ago. This is a very poor way to treat the customers. I never had any problems with all the other major rental companies : Hertz... When I returned the car, no one was on the parking lot to check the damages. They could charge anyone with some scratches they miraculously discover ! Update : I contacted the customer service, I had to insist but I was finally refunded. Update 2 : at least Sixt considered my case, answered every message and finally refunded me, I'm having a terrible experience with europcar right now!

The overall service was very good and easy going. The one star deduction is coming from the fact that even though I have returned the car more than two weeks ago without damages also confirmed from their side. SIXT has still blocked the deposit on my credit card. Not sure why it’s taking so long.

Staff were really nice but we were unfortunately scammed by this branch. When dropping off the car in Split they said we had requested an extra service of roadside assistance for 30euro. We have our own third party insurance so would not have requested this. They had no confirmation we had requested this, we hadn’t ticked any check box or signed a waiver or form adding this to our cost, and yet when we dropped the car off we had to pay this fee. You see the issue here is they didn’t have any proof we had requested this but still we had to pay - well this is a huge scam because they could then put anything on anyone’s bill without you knowing or signing any agreement in doing so. It’s a shame because the staff were nice and the car was so nice and the process quick. But you can’t just be adding charges for things without proof that is not how the world works and so therefore I believe we were unfortunately scammed here.

DO NOT TRUST THEM. We rented a car for a week with them and everything went smoothly until we left the country back home. We did not get all our deposit back saying we had requested road assistance (we were asked and said NO) and a ferry fee applied to all the days of our stay (we just took one ferry one day and when we were asked about it we were not informed of any cost. Of course, the main problem of this is that they charge you when you are back home.

Fast and courteous service, new car, equally fast return and settlement. The only downside is the high refundable deposit.

Sve je bilo super i po dogovoru, djelatnici su bili vrlo ljubazni i susretljivi, puno su mi pomogli te preporučili što posjetiti na otoku. Posebne zahvale studentu koji mi je pomogao sa koferima. Preporučam i dolazim opet! :)

Servizio eccellente al Sixt dell’aeroporto di Rijeka! L’impiegato Miran è stato molto gentile e professionale, mi ha spiegato tutto con calma e tradotto in italiano. Abbiamo ricevuto un’auto nuova e tutto è andato veloce e senza problemi. Consigliatissimo!

Prices are unfortunately quite high for the level of service provided. Very rude staff so they should work on improving their manners and overall customer service to create a more pleasant experience. I would not recommend this place. 👎👎👎
