Absolute scumbags, we dropped the car off if perfect condition. They said the car was all good, no problems They send an email later that night saying they have identified a new scratch, luckily we have photos of when we dropped the car off proving there was no scratch. Experience was just as the rest of the reviews say. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Buena experiencia. Contratamos un coche a través de Check24 en Europcar aeropuerto Liubliana. Tras leer todos los comentarios negativos fuimos un poco en alerta pensando que podían hacernos pagar daños del coche que no habíamos hecho. Sin embargo, no fue así y no pagamos más de lo contratado. Recomiendo estar atento e ir a acompañar al empleado de europcar cuando haga la revisión de la entrega del vehículo, al igual que hacer un vídeo del coche en el momento de la entrega para poder demostrar que no tiene daños que no tuviese antes.

Pick up was easy and the staff were efficient. The car was a a bit of a disappointment. It was the right size but it was the oldest hire car I've ever had and with over 91 thousand km on the clock. The screen was basic with no way to link google maps or similar to it. The body work was badly scratched but that didn't really bother me to be honest. The rear screen washer didn't work, I later discovered. Again, not a major problem. The car performed well but in the last two days the brakes started making a terrible noise. Had I needed it any longer I would have contacted them and reported it as not fit to drive. Another reviewer has mentioned being charged for new brakes which seems outrageous. One driver can't ruin good brakes that quickly. It's down to regular maintenance. Returning the car was easy, the staff were very nice and I got an email clearing it later that day. So the staff were good but the car was past its best.

A FUIR ! Ce sont des voleurs, des arnaqueurs. Tout est planifié pour vous soutirer de l'argent. 150€ la rayure de moins de 3cm, sûrement déjà présente. En plus nous avions pris l'assurance qui prenait 3000€ de franchise. Quelle blague... ils nous ont expliqué que c'était uniquement en cas d'accident. Regardez tous ces avis négatifs, et trouvez une autre agence !

Des voleurs , Ayant une réservation de véhicule pour les vacances, on se présente au guichet Europcar on donne le dossier de réservation, le gars nous propose 2 assurance, une a 64€ et une a 100€,on lui demande la différence il nous dit que celle a 64€ prend en charge les dégâts jusqu'à 3500€ ont ce dit on va prendre celle là ont sera tranquille, ils prenne l'empreinte de la carte pour le dépôt de caution,le gars nous donne les clés il nous indique le véhicule est garé le gars ne fait pas le tour avec nous il nous dit que la voiture est neuve on démarre déjà 2800km on fait notre séjour tranquille, en rendant le véhicule le gars vois une rayure sur la porte arrière droite et nous le signale ,on va au guichet avec lui et nous dit que c'est 150€ ,on lui dit quand prenant le véhicule on a pris une assurance,il nous sort c'est la franchise (alors qu'à aucun moment au début il nous a parlé de la franchise) on paye avec une autre carte pour ne pas rater notre vol retour en France, et la quel jours plus tard un débit de 50€ sur la carte de l'empreinte prise pour le dépôt de garantie impossible a se faire rembourser .

This is a scam - they'll invent damage and charge you over the odds to repair it. I'm 80% sure the agent caused damage himself while insisting to inspect the vehicle without me present. Avoid at all costs.

Son unos timadores. Si no contratan el seguro a todo riesgo, fijense bien en los bajos o cualquier otra parte del coche porque por el minimo roce que tenga, aunque no lo haya provocado usted, aprovechan para cambiar la pieza completa con el dinero de su deposito. No me veran mas por sus oficinas.

Be extremely careful if renting from Europcar at Ljubljana Airport. They seem to have an amazing knack of finding "new" damage to their cars. They ask you to inspect the car in a garage with no lighting (we collected our car at night) and then on return began flagging up damage that had not been caused during our rental but could not be seen on collection. The airport security staff told me they were well known for doing this. There are plenty of other car rental outlets at the airport - I would suggest going to them instead. PS: have just looked at several of the other reviews on here and lo and behold, I'm not the first. Don't use Europcar Slovenia. PPS: Slovenia is lovely and we had a fantastic holiday only marred by this experience.

Avertissement: Grosse arnaque en perspective Lors du retour, l'employé nous indique qu'il va rapidement faire le tour de la voiture...sans nous ! Quelle naïveté de notre part. Il faut toujours etre la lors du check-out. Du coup, quand il revient, il nous signale un très léger éclat (on pense que c'est lui qui l'a fait avec du recul). On lui demande combien ça va nous coûter. Il répond qu'il ne sait pas. 15 min après que lon quitte lagence, il nous fait parvenir un mail avec la facture (donc il savait très bien combien il allait nous facturer). Il nous on fait payer 371,5 Euros pour cet éclat ( prix décidé en fonction de leur grille ) mais exorbitant au vu de l'éclat (cf photo ci dessous). Éclat pas plus gros que la taille de mon pouce. Les deux salariés esquissaient des regards et sourires en coin complices pendant le check-out, indiquant quils etaient bien content de leur petit jeux de rôle pour nous arnaquer. Et le service client en france, cest pas mieux, aucune compassion malgré le fait que je sois un client fidèle depuis des années. Une contre expertise est possible, mais a nos frais et avec l'un de leur expert "independant". En gros, des frais supplémentaires pour rien. Autant vous dire que tout ceci est bien huilé et cautionné par le siege social Europcar en France. Pas étonnant que la société se porte mal. Pour nous, c'est terminé Europcar.

Not recommended. It doesn't matter if the booking confirmed, they provide the wors and poorest car they have. It happened to me. Dacia without even screen and music and with manual adjustment of mirrors instead of VW Polo I've booked and they confirmed. In this situation, the problem is that you almost don't have any options to reject the car they provide you, because everything was scheduled, to search another company and booking almost impossible, etc.

Don't rent here if you do not want to be robbed by the crooks. Better to rent somewere else. My mistake I did not read reviews. These crooks have used the same scenario as was described in the reviews of this rental business.

Never again Very poor service and when we returned the car they mentioned a scratch and we had to pay. Who would have found a 0.2 cm if not known before? And at the same time other clients had exactly same scratch? Too much of a coincidence. Will never book Europcar again.

Rented a car a year ago from them and this is a fraud. Do not ever go there! We had to pay over 1000 € for damages that we did not cause. Luckily we had our own insurance that believed us even though we didn’t receive any kind of receipt or damage report (we tried!!)

They tried to take £3000+ from my credit card 3 weeks after I handed the car back. No replies from emails or phone calls why they tried to fraudulently take money from my card still waiting 3 years for a reply!! If you have rented a car with them CANCEL your credit card straight after so they cannot charge you for false damage! (Google has taken this review down I visited in 2021)
