Dank Herr Dominik Smolkovic lief die Automietung reibubgslos. Wir haben das Auto in Split abgeholt und in Tirana wieder abgegeben. Herr Smolkovic ist uns mit der Offerte sehr entgegen gekommen und mich bei Fragen stets unterstützt. Meine Empfehlung ist die direkte Kontaktaufnahme mit Carwiz und nicht über einen Vermittler.

Agence située au cœur de l'hôtel Radison Blu. Bon accueil avec personnel un anglais très fluide et compréhensible. Des frais de nettoyage (10€) du véhicule sont appliqués pour toute location et les frais sont très élevés en cas de pépin (rayures, enjoliveurs abîmés , impact pare brise...)

Elendig service, uproffe ansatte. Vi ankom 20 minutter før utleien, men vi fikk ikke bilen før 50 minutter ETTER booket tid. De ansatte var utrivelige og ga belæringer på at det er slik det er å leie bil og at de kunne latt være å betjene oss så tidlig som de gjorde, enn det ikke var noen i køen. De hadde ikke hatt bilen på vask, så den var ikke klar til vi kom, bilen var full i bruksmerker og de ønsket først vi skulle signere på at den var i perfekt stand. Det er umodne og frekke folk som driver butikken og de kan ingenting om kundeservice. Jeg er sikker på at det skal finnes bedre utleiesteder for bil. Vi har aldri vært borti lignende med bilutleie.

J ai pris une carte de crédit spécialement pour la location de voiture afin d'éviter les frais. Ils font aussi exprès de ne pas envoyer la demande à la banque et nous oblige à prendre l'assurance.... 2 fois que je me fais avoir.....

Horrible experience, they charged 480€ for a plastic piece of the crappy car that fell off with driving (no damage to the car except missing piece) and on top of that 10 € more for ‘cleaning’ which is not advertised in their online reservation - so just add 10€ to your cost

SCAM! Bei der Rückgabe haben sie zwei winzige Kratzer an beideren vorderen Felgen reklamiert, die angeblich neu waren. Waren sie nicht, haben sich aber auf nix anderes eingelassen. Leider waren unsere Bilder nicht gut genug, um das Gegenteil zu beweisen. Wieder was gelernt, immer akribisch alles in HD abfilmen. Und für den "Schaden" haben sie dann einen Mondpreis von 580 Euro aufgerufen. Der Preis kam direkt aus dem System. Konnten ihn nicht erklären. War auch nicjt Deckingsgleich mit dem Katalog, der auslag. Meinten der Katalog müsse falsch sein. Und gemeint wir kriegen es ja eh von der Versicherung zurück. Die Arbeit hat man dann natürlich. Die suchen gezielt mit System nach genau solchen Gelegenheiten (ausländische Mietwagenversicherung, winzigste Steinschläge). DAS SIND BETEÜGER, FINGER WEG!

This company needs to be avoided at all costs. They are very shady and use illegal tactics to upsell their insurance policies. They threaten to put a massive hold on your credit card if you don’t buy their insurance. If they were in the US, this company would be sued out of business. Agents are not cordial, and honestly best to use a reputed company than this horrific place.

Highly recommend Carwiz in Dubrovnik and in Split! The staff and their excellent customer service lives up to their strong reviews; their high reviews is why I decided to rent with Carwiz in the first place, rather than another company. I will rent with them again. I picked up in Dubrovnik originally, and dropped off in Split.

Avoid Car Wiz at All Costs – A Total Tourist Trap! If you're considering renting from Car Wiz, think twice! While their prices may seem attractive, the experience is anything but. They aggressively push their own insurance, leaving renters feeling pressured. The real nightmare begins when you pick up the car. Be prepared to document every inch—take at least 50 pictures before signing anything. Otherwise, you might end up being falsely accused of damages that were already there. In my case, I was wrongly blamed for a hubcap scratch and even an underbody scratch—how was I supposed to check that without a lift? No other rental company makes this kind of unreasonable demand! Adding insult to injury, their pre-rental report contained old, low-quality photos of previous damages, conveniently taken at night so details were barely visible. This deceptive tactic ended up costing me over $500 in bogus fees. Car Wiz operates with unfair policies and shady practices designed to squeeze extra money out of unsuspecting travelers. Do yourself a favor—rent elsewhere and save yourself the stress!

The car itself was in good condition and worked well. However, the rental company was extremely picky and charged extra for many things that most companies typically include. For example, they charge a €10 fee if they decide the car is “dirty” upon return, but they don’t provide a clear definition of what qualifies as dirty, which feels arbitrary. Additionally, the rental did not include any insurance coverage at all, which is unusual—most companies offer at least some basic coverage in the base price. Another issue was their inconsistent handling of the border-crossing fee. Initially, they quoted €100 for the necessary documentation, then lowered it to €80, and finally to €60. This document is supposed to be formal and presented to border police, so it’s concerning that the price changed so many times with no clear explanation. Overall, while the car was fine, the company’s practices were not transparent, and the extra charges made the experience feel untrustworthy.

As many have stated, this is the worst scam there is in all of Croatia and Split. If you are ever travelling to Split and are looking to rent a car, BEWARE. There are much better companies you can rent from in the same Split airport and ones that will not rip you off for every amount of money you have so do that instead cause this is definitely not worth it. Also be careful of booking and paying any cover fees through Discover Cars because they are also a scam because they charge you for the insurance but when you arrive at the rental you will be charged another insurance cover cost on top of that. Both costs are hundreds of Euros, up to €300, and may still require deposits and a credit card which they can extract more cash out of for other fees such as being under 25 and tyre insurance. The staff are also rude and unhelpful. The price of the rental may seem good and all but the hidden fees and additional insurance cover they FORCE you to pay when you arrive and them refusing to provide the car if these fees are not paid, makes this just an absolute scam. So just don't do it. I got scammed but you guys don't have to. Hope this helps someone.
