Slatine is a long and narrow typical Dalmatian gravel beach. Safe swimming in gorgeous clear water. Uncommercial and popular with families and an older crowd, it is fairly easy to find a spot. There are stretches shaded by short pine trees, which get snapped up quickly, so bring a beach tent or parasol as (thankfully) the locals haven't ruined the natural beauty of the area with ranks of sun loungers. Beach shoes are a must. There's a decent beach shop if you forgot yours (like I did) There aren't many amenities here, only a couple of beach bars and kiosks so its a good idea to bring a picnic. And take your trash with you! There's a local bus (42) to and from Trogir which runs more or less every hour (e2. 5). The Buraline ferry between Split and Trogir stops here too. (e6 from Trogir)
