Most important part of this review: DON'T DRIVE HERE. The parking lot is tiny, and there isn't much parking nearby. When we were there, the narrow road down to the beach was lined with parked cars — all were ticketed by the time we left. Luckily for us, we had taken a taxi. There's also a bus stop nearby. Have your taxi drop off and pick up by the bus stop, not down by the beach, where gridlock is likely to ensue. This beach is beautiful, with views of mountains, clear water, and tony yachts. The beach can get very crowded, so you need to arrive early unless you want to rent chairs or a cabana. There is plenty of room in the water for swimming, though. There is a nude beach at the far end, mostly out of view of the main part of the beach. Rental chairs were €35 apiece when we went, and the rules were strict. No outside food or drinks were allowed. That's a turn-off — beaches are for picnicking. We had brought sandwiches and cans of beer, so we had to take a stroll down to the free part of the beach to enjoy them. The bar was expensive as well, but they did serve me the freshest Heineken Silver ever (date code was 13 months out). So there are probably beaches near Split that offer better value. But this one has great views and swimming and is a happening place.

Very very busy beach, but water and beach was clean, with sea urchins so need water shoes. Probably the most beautiful beach in Split. Easy to order Bolt taxi, they are driving here and there all the time. The bar near-by quite expensive.
