We had a wonderful evening at St. Pietro. The experience of travelling to the island by boat and the welcome we received were both unique. The selection of fresh fish and fine wines is unparalleled in the region. We very much enjoyed it and will definitely come again. Recomemdation: Experiencing a sunset during the dinner is a dream come true.

Avoid at All Costs – Complete Chaos and Dishonesty I never write reviews—ever. But after reading the blatantly false response from Mr. Tibor Pistolo, who seems to handle marketing or management at San Pietro, I felt compelled to speak up. I was part of the group that visited the restaurant on Sunday. Our reservation was at 2:15 PM. The attached photo clearly shows that even after 30 minutes, not even water had been served. We were a group of adults and children who made the unfortunate decision to stop here during our trip. We waited nearly three hours for food that never came. Only the kids’ meal was served—and that only after multiple complaints. What’s worse is the way they treated our skipper and his assistant. They both told us directly how disrespected and unwelcome they felt. No one greeted them, and they were not offered complimentary food—as Mr. Pistolo falsely claimed in his response to my friend’s review. Mr. Pistolo, feel free to reach out to me directly and dispute this—I’ll be happy to show the invoice: 411 euros, which includes the skipper’s and assistant’s drinks, sandwich, burger, salad, kids’ meal, and a bottle of wine. I was there the entire time and witnessed the chaos firsthand. The restaurant was severely understaffed, with no clear leadership. Tables were ignored, no manager ever showed up, and no one apologized. After nearly three hours, we left—hungry, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. After the trip, my friend and his wife mentioned they had left reviews. I looked them up and was stunned by Mr. Pistolo’s reply—a complete fabrication of what actually happened. He should be ashamed of himself for misrepresenting the situation. So here’s the truth: don’t be fooled by the recent flood of 5-star reviews. It’s clear they’re being pushed to cover up the mess. San Pietro was one of the biggest wastes of time during our trip. Do yourself a favor—go anywhere else.

Amazing experience from Start to Finish My girlfriend and I had an incredible time at St. Pietro in Dubrovnik. The vibe was super cozy and romantic, and the staff made us feel right at home. Avoid at All Costs – Beautiful Island, Absolutely Terrible Experience We made a reservation at San Pietro through our concierge at the Sheraton, intrigued by the location and a few reviews we found online. What a colossal mistake. Let me start by saying: the island itself is stunning, and the restaurant has every potential to be something special—but the service? Absolutely abysmal. In my nearly 50 years of life, I’ve rarely experienced something so poorly managed and disrespectful. We were a party of eight, arriving by boat with our incredible captain Makto and his assistant Mihaela—two of the best professionals you can find in Dubrovnik. From the moment we stepped onto the island, the staff made it very clear we were not welcome. They didn’t greet us, didn’t offer help, and certainly didn’t treat our crew with even a hint of courtesy. It took almost an hour just to get the water and wine we ordered. That should have been the first red flag. But we tried to stay patient and enjoy the setting. Then came two and a half hours of waiting… and only the appetizers had arrived. No updates, no apologies, just complete disregard. At that point, we decided to leave—and despite the horrendous experience, we still paid for what we consumed. The real insult? The way they treated Makto and Mihaela—dismissive, rude, and totally unprofessional. If you’re going to run a hospitality business, start with basic human decency. We spent nearly €500 for what amounted to nothing more than a frustrating waste of time on an otherwise lovely day. The property was nearly empty, and now I understand why. Do not be fooled by the location or Instagram photos. San Pietro is a disaster. Beautiful setting, totally ruined by the worst service I’ve seen in any restaurant—anywhere.
